Walk

Sofia and I was driving around Subang today, and we realised one thing..

Malaysians don't walk.

Studying in Sunway College, exposed us to people from around the world. We realised that foreigners have no problem walking anywhere, be it under screeching hot sun, pouring rain, super windy, whatever, they will walk anywhere and everywhere.

Even if they live 30 minutes away from college, they would rather walk home, all happy, smiling, and perky with their friends. As for me, if my car was parked a bit far, I'd rather have a friend send me to my car *smacks forehead*

I wonder why...?

Im sure us Malaysians, even if you are just going to 7-eleven 10 minutes away from your house, you would rather drive, or take a motorcycle, or even bicycle, right?? And when you're stuck in a jam or can't find a parking, you start yapping by yourself in the car like a mad person.

With the amount of Nasi Lemak we consume, in comparison with the walks we take, no surprise the numbers of heart attack is off the roof.Scary.

I don't know why we are super lazy to walk. I do not think is the hot sun, because other people have skin too, right? So I guess it is juss pure laziness.

We need to stop being such a bum!

"If I had to walk, after 5 minutes, I would be cursing like crazy and start hailing for a cab" -A true Malaysian.

From now on, any short trips should be done by foot, because, it is healthier, will not cause traffic jams and there is no need to waste time to look for a parking.

*thinking hard*

Ok, maybe not.

  1. haha...that case, McD should banish drive thru's and delivery ppl and never have their own buidling restaurants. McD's in shopping malls make ppl walk to their food. So, see, it aint that bad. with the amount of shopping malls we have in malaysia, malaysians do walk still....unless malls start allowing wheels in malls.

  3. looking from another perspective ... if we walk then we potentially be hit by irresponsible drivers who drives like F1 at a place that have lots of people and some buggers in bike grabbing your handbags ... :)
