Every girl's dream.

I love weddings. I love attending one. Seeing different ideas that the bride and groom has- garden, indoor, outdoor, winter, summer, fantasy, these days there are many many types of wedding we could do. Even in Malaysia, we could do a winter wedding. Cool huh??

Since I was little, my vision of my wedding have changed from time to time. So I'm not really counting on that drawing/scribble of my wedding dress that I did when I was 6 (its all poofy and pink, btw). But the idea of a perfect wedding is still a wish, and believe me, E! Top Celebrity Wedding Countdown really isn't helping.

These days, there are all sorts of wedding dresses. Pink, green, blue, shiny, poofy, long, short. My preferances are long, trail-ish, off white-ish, not too revealing (I do not want all the aunties start whispering and pointing cleavage as I walk up the pelamin). So maybe hollywood wedding dresses will remain as a dream for me.But I can improvise, right?

Aunties would have a frenzy if I show up like this on my wedding day.heh.

Some of my picks *ehemmmm* :

VERA WANG

MARCHESA

DIOR

Oh so fantabulous!!!
Now I wanna get married.

Pasta Salad.

Alright, alright, it might be a bit exaggerating for me to make salad, since salad is usually vegetables and I won't go closer than 2 feet than one, so let's all just ignore the salad part.

This recipe was from Azrin's mother and grandmother, with a bit of my improvising touch.

Ingredients

- Mayonaise
- Tomato Ketchup
- Chilli Sauce
- Eggs
- That colourful, spiral, vegetarian pasta (look, vegetables! it is a salad, afterall).
- Crabsticks.

..and this is how its done.

First, boil water with a touch of salt, and put in the spiraly pasta

Second, 2minutes before the pasta is cooked, toss in the crabstick. When its done, drain the pasta and crabstick.

Third, boil a couple of eggs, and while waiting, cut the crabstick into smaller pieces.

Fourth, add chilli sauce, tomato sauce and mayonaise. I like as much mayonaise as possible (for those on a diet, u might wanna cut back on the mayo).

Fifth, mix it all up together, and cut boiled eggs into teeny pieces and mix that up too

Sixth, Put it in the refrigerator, and voila!

Perfect snack for the World Cup :)

Speaking of world cup..

Dad : *bangs on my door* ADIK!!!I HEARD U HAVE BEEN BETTING ON THE WORLD CUP!!!
Me : *oh no..!* Err...ya.. *opens door* but...
Dad : well, next time, ask my opinion first on which team to bet on, if not, you'll lose a lot of money.
Me : ...................

Wink

I have been wearing contact lenses since high school. Sometimes green, sometimes blue, crazy times will see me trying to rock purple eyes, sometimes even red (yikes!), because if I'm going to be blind, might as well be fashionable doing it (my blindness is up to 650).

Now, there is Dior Contact Lenses. Yeap, as in Christian Dior. I don't know if its the economy or what that made John Galliano (he is the fashion designer behind Dior) think outside the box to attract more income. Or maybe he's just bored.

The contact lens is gold flake-ish with CD printed on the side (I dont think people talking to me could even see the initials) and there is black rim around it. Is this suppose to be luxurios? Or are they trying to attract the Twi-hards. Maybe they aim the luxurios vampire.

On a totally different note. These are my pick for Jimmy Choo pre-fall '10.

Oh those are love! I want all of them and sleep with em. Who needs pillows when u can have gorgeous gorgeous Jimmys.

Feed the Needy

On Thursday, Azrin and I joined his cousin, Azmina for a charity work. I love doing charity work, because it really opened my eyes and make me feel really grateful with what I have.

This time, we feed the homeless. At first, I didnt understand how this works. Do we give food to random homeless?Does the homeless go somewhere for food? How do we know if someone is homeless or not?

We reached this house where all voluteers gather before going to feed the homeless. There was like a lorry/van filled with food. How this works is all of us go to 2 places in KL, and start distributing food to homeless.

First stop, behind Tune's Hotel, KL. When we reached there, there was already a group of hungry-looking people, so I thought "This must be the homeless" but, some people were carrying handbags, wearing normal, not dirty looking clothes

Me : *whisper to Azrin* Is she homeless?Shes carrying a handbag
Azrin : Maybe someone gave it to her.
Me : SHE'S CARRYING A SHOPPING BAG!
Azrin : Oh.

As soon as the lorry with food came, they were all running and rushing towards it. However, they did queue up nicely (ethics that some people even with mansions and bungalows doesnt have.shame on you). All volunteers work quickly to distribute food and drinks and snacks. I got a bit teary when I looked over and see some ate as if they had not eaten for days. These people are usually people with HIVs, maybe ex-prisoners, where they cant be accepted by society and very difficult for them to find a job, let alone put a roof above their head.

Second stop, Near Pudu. The crowd there was massive. I think there was about 200 people, and we only had about 150 packets of food left.

Me : That lady is definitely not a homeless.
Azrin : Why?
Me : She's wearing a fabulous blue dress with matching earings and stilettos.
Azrin : Hihihhihihi.

But fabulous-lady-in-blue still took a packet of food.

At one point all the food was finished, we only had chocolates and biscuits left, so some of them who had queued for about half an hour, only received, snacks and drinks :'(

Homeless guy : Nasi tada ah?? (No rice??)
Me : Habis la uncle.. (Uncle, its finished)
H.G : *dissapointed*
Me : *nudged Azrin* Should we bring them to McD?We could get them fillet and fries (there was a McD across from where we were)
Azrin : I don't think we're suppose to do that
Me : but they're hungry.

It was a pretty tiring night but it felt good to do something good. It definitely made me appreciate food more now.Like if I don't finish my food, I will force it down Azrin's throat.heh.

Oh, Im officially a VOLUNTEER!

I really hope there are more oppurtunities for me to do any sorts of charity work.Espiacially now that I'm on holidays.

Haiiyaakk!

Yesterday was movie date night for Azrin and I (feels good to step into a mall after so long).

Watched Karate Kid. First of all, that kid is hawt! I know its a bit creepy and pedophile-ish for me to like that kid, but OMG, that kid's got abs *drool*. Im officially Sharifah Fadilah Smith :) You can call me Mrs. Smith (oh, that can also means I'm Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt's wife, Im good either way).

Anyway, back to my little Jaden, I mean, the movie, it was as good as I expected it to be. Or maybe more awesome! It was super funny, super sad, and did I mention the pecs on the kid?? I know, I'm in super cougar mode now. Well, if I were to be a cougar, I might as well go for a kid like that right. Its funny though, because I don't like Will Smith, but who knew he could produce such a beautiful thing *double drool*. Plus, that kid can dance! Seriously sick moves, man *triple drool*

At one point I even found Jackie Chan (yea, he's the other main character) hot. Something about boys haiyakk-ing attracts me. All boys should learn Kung Fu- serious ladies magnet, well, for me at least.

If you have not watch it, this is worth every penny. Just don't bring your boyfriend, because you might walk out of the cinema single, having you're boyfriend annoyed with your 'ooohs' and 'aaahs'.
Enjoy Xiao Dre!

Free-dom dom dom

Hello world!

I finished my papers today!Done.Finish.Complete.Habis.

Although, waiting for results to come out is just 40 times scarier. Oh well, I did my best, no?

After I finished my paper this afternoon, I sat down in my room, excited of what to do, thinking that I have a long, imaginary to-do list. Because when I had to study for my papers, I felt like I had kebejillion things to do, like, clean mom's room, feed stray cats, clean the neighbour's yard- anything (my level of procastination is beyond bizzare, btw). Now that Ive finished my paper, who cares?

I really have nothing to do. All my friends are still having exams, dad is hogging one tv, mom is hogging the other tv. Maybe I should reorganize my wardrobe.Maybe colour coordinate it, than any colours missing I could go shopping.Genius!!

Oh I also need to go to the cinema, see what movies Ive missed out on, and have a marathon. Anyone up for it??

Anyway, Im just glad exams are over, so I think I'll just hibernate for the next couple of days, until my friends are done with exams. Hello, bed. For the past week Ive been sleeping in this.

Btw, that huge ass calculator is the most useless calculator in the world. I press 3, I get 6. And apparently 34000+23100 =3. Do we have a new maths system that I dont know about or something? I dont know how my dad uses it.Pointless.

Me : Abah, your calculator is stoopid.
Dad : No lah.Its fine.
Me : No its not.
Dad : It does my calculations just fine.
Me : Are your businesses going well??

See, this is why you need an accountant. To help users of disfunctional calculators. I guess that's why dad has an accountant. His accountant better not be using the same calculator *slaps forehead*

Aint my notes neat? Yeap, a bit of Mrs-Monk-mode when it comes to writing notes. :)

Azrin : How do you write so straight on a blank paper Me : Natural talent *flips hair* and imaginary lines.

Goodnight, world!

horror.

Let me tell you a story.A horror story.
Today was my first paper.

Investment and Portfolio Management. I thought I was really prepared for the paper. So I thought. I could do the Past Years papers with my eyes closed and get it all right.

So I was confidently walking in the exam hall like the most Investment-fied person in the world. I felt like an Investment Banker, for god's sake (wait, they are the ones that earn a lot, right?), fine, I felt like a Louboutin of Banking.

Lecturer Lady : You may begin your reading time.
Me : *looks at Question 1* huh?? *looks at Question 2* ooh I know this..*continue reading* wait, what?? *start flipping pages* what the... *checks cover for the right subject* SHIT!

Turn out this is the time where they decided to change everything and take nothing from the Past Years. And I'm not the only one who was shocked. This guy next to me, wrote his name, and went to sleep.

At least, I crap my way to god-knows-what. Probably my answer to Question 3 was :

Dear Mr-who-marks-my-paper, firstly, I am sure you are really good looking *wink* and secondly, I did study my butt off (I even disabled Fashion TV for a week) but unfortunately I don't understand any of these questions.Do u??Please pass me*droopy eyes*.love.

Oh god, why in the name of preety stilettos did I take Banking/Finance.pfft.I cant even manage my own finance, and I'm suppose to manage people's finance. Who am I kidding?

Abah, see, if you would have just let me take Fashion Design or Interior Design, or whatever that involves colour pencils, not calculators, I would have graduated by now. Today, I just cost you another RM20k next year.
The inside of my brain is like this :

3 more to go.

Baby Blabber

When I was a kid, I was a lonely one. I preferred playing alone, not share my toys, and according to my parents, any other kid that came close to me, I would start throwing stuff at them or just run the other way screaming, as though they have unacceptable level of b.o or something (such a bitch baby I was). Im sorry to any kids that had to grow up with me (if any), and if you did, you're a champion! *salutes*

Me : Mama, how come I did'nt have that many toys when I was a kid?
Mama : Because you preferred playing with scissors and cloths.
Me : I might have invented Project Runway *flips hair*.

I guess that is why till today, I still prefer being alone, not talking to anyone, and may come off as bitchy (quote by my own bestfriends and boyfriend). In my defense, I have a very grumpy, evil, bitchy look, naturally. See, its something I cant change. My bitchiness from inside only covers 30% of my bitchiness. So I'm not that big of a bitch *rolls eyes*

Anyway, I was looking at my baby pictures, some could cause a mother-daughter relationship for putting me in some hideous outfit. I don't know whether it was the 90s or Mama....*speechless*. They should really make thinner diaper, because trust me, I dont need them extra junk in the trunk.Even now.

Check out the mini mohawk :)

Colourful.

hihihihihihi.

OMG I look like a flag!

And then theres Suri.Suri Cruise. That spoiled little thing should be the luckiest kid on earth. 20 years from now she could show her friends her baby picture and brag about setting a trend! Her wardrobe probably costs more than my house. Designer clothes, bags, lip gloss, she has it all (she better not spill on those gorgeous little clothes). The best thing is, this 4-year-old have started wearing heels. Every parents should do this, I swear! Well, my daughter will be on stiletto from the day she's born :)

She will be the future Anna Wintour.

Now I know why I was a grumpy kid.

Newlyweds

On Sunday, from Melaka, all of us head to Segamat to attend Helmi and Azni's wedding. We were suppose to leave Melaka at 11, in the end we left at 1ish. We all woke up late and later on people are running in and out of the toilet, some are busy ironing clothes, some was still snoring away.
The journey was preety long, almost 2 hours. 2 hours of sitting on each other, in baju kurung, and don't even get me started on the weather. and I though KL was hot. Some friendship was almost broken, some new cursing words were discovered- hot weather really makes people angry.or maybe its the stomach talking.

As soon as we reached, the girls hopped off the car and started sniffing, and followed trails of food. Who needs boys when we have ayam masak merah right?at least, thats how it works with us.heh.

The bride and groom looked amazing. Preety outfit. Preety pelamin. We, however, did not stayed long, because if we were to stayed for another 5 minutes we would sweat a South China Sea. If you need a tan, Segamat would be perfect.

Selamat Pengantin Baru, guys!

Road Trip!

During the weekend my friends and I headed south for a road trip, Melaka-Muar-Segamat. The Fab (or Fat) Crew consisted of Sofia, Sarah, Fazna, Azrin, Hazren, Obi, Ashiq and myself.

Our "7 a.m" trip turned out to be a 10 a.m one (not a suprise in this group, really) and after stuffing, pushing, fitting, zipping in 8 people, 29 bags and 35 pillows (im just kidding, but it really felt like it) into one car, we were good to go.

Some was snoring away, some was singing away- until there was a massive traffic jam from Sg. Besi onwards. pffft. Ever heard of the saying 'Hungry people, Angry people'? Well try that times eight. I was this close to eating that 35 pillows we had. We reached a R&R and we had breakfast that Mommy had packed for all of us. :)

2 (or 3) hours later, we reached Melaka! And 20 wrong turns later, we reached Shafiqah's house, where by that time, we were all 70% dead and took a rest. You have no idea how many people goes to Melaka during a public holiday.

Azrin and I really wanted to eat Mee Bandung in Muar, so I dragged the rest to Muar to have Mee Bandung. and the awesome Rojak. and Roti Kahwin. *drooool*

On the way to Muar, we saw this.

Durian Goreng??Durian.Goreng. *mentally visualises the gooey-ness and sweet-ness and oily-ness of it.* We planned to try it on the way back to Melaka.

Me : Makcik, durian goreng ada?
Makcik : Habis la dik.
Me : *looks at mountains of durians next to her*...but.. *looks at a wok filled with oil on the stove behind her* Ok

So we drove a few feet and found this!!

Pau Durian?? Am I going to find Nasi Durian or Ikan Goreng Durian or Sup Durian if I drive further up or something??? They make everything out of durian around her! So we stopped, finger crossed.

Me : Pakcik, pau durian ada?
Pakcik : Tak da. Tinggal kacang and kaya je (pfft.)
Me : Ala..tapi nak rasa pau durian.
Pakcik : Itu la..durian goreng pon habis.
Me : Oh, durian goreng pon ada? Tu, banyak durian, pakcik goreng la, pleaaaseeeeeee *points at durian*

That pakcik was hilarious. I was almost rolling around laughing at all his jokes.

" Cempedak ni sedap. Isi dia merah, you know in english, yellow" -pak cik.

Suddenly..

Pakcik : Kau nak cendol durian?
Me : Cendol Durian?????
Pakcik : *hands a cup filled with little drops of heavens*
Me : *died*

Cendol durian is the bomb! It should be Malaysia's national dessert or somethingMost of us than had a bowl of it, and some banana fritters with this chilli sauce that is so hot and amazing!

But no, I still did not get to taste Durian Goreng. Anyone up for a trip?

So we head back to Melaka and went to town and be tourists. With a camera on one hand, we were snapping with oohs and aahs (all we need was that tourist-looking hat). Did a bit of shopping at Jonker Walk which was so hot, I looked like I just ran a marathon.

We also had the most fabulous Naan ever. and Butter Chicken. and tandoori. Im glad I have friends that could eat the world (well, if they were celery-eating people, they would not be my friends) because every trips we have, I really enjoy the eating part :)

By the time we got back to the apartment, we were all sweaty and super tired. It was a super long day. So after lining up in front of the toilet to shower (and do other businesses) we were all snoring away (I bet you it sounded like an orchestra).

...and then, there is the one where Obi was stuck in the room, where the door knob/lock was screwed up and he was locked inside. So the knob had to be taken out.

That was my Melaka Trip.
