...and they live happily ever after

Normally, we would see crazy traffic on a Friday evening. Today, there were less cars on the road. That was because most (if not all) of us were glued to the TV to catch the Royal Wedding.

My plans of doing a little revision for today flew out the window because I eagerly wanted to see what the princess wear. I bet some of us girls were drooling our diamonds off, and yes, some of us sworn of not eating for a year to get a teeny waist like Catherine Middleton.

First, I was amazed by the hats those ladies wore. Some looked like tudung saji, some looked like Astro dish, some was so huge that if it were to rain, Will and Kate would have no problem hiding underneath it. Still, everyone looked classy as ever. I like.

As Dad was excitedly trying to spot Elton John, I was jumping up and down waiting for Victoria Beckham to arrive.

Me : *points at David Furnish* That's Elton John's husband!

Dad : He married a guy?!?!?!?!

Me : Did u really think he was straight. Really....? *sacarsm*

She makes pregnancy on heels look easy.

After 29 hours of waiting, the princess finally arrived.

"OMG OMG OMG!!! GRACE KELLY!!!!!!" -Me.

Grace Kelly's wedding dress was my dream wedding dress. I had to pick my jaw off the floor when Kate showed up in this gorgeous Alexander McQueen. So.Freaking.Beautiful. Very grace kelly-ish. I double like.

I got a little teary when William really could not take his eyes off her (I mean, with that dress, who would!). They looked so freaking in love.

I bet now everyone wants horses and carriages and people waving at them at their wedding, no?

....and she turns 28

Fazna turns 28. Or, as she says it, forever 21.

On her birthday, all of us ignored her the whole day. She said she almost cried.

....and later at night...

Well, it was not even suppose to be a surprise. Fara came over to Sofia's started arranging food (like made for 200 people food), and birthday girl still was'nt getting the fact that we were having a small party for her (she just thought a few of her friends eat a whole big kuali of food on a daily basis).

Well, happy birthday Fazoo! hope you likey likey the gifts. Enjoy your last few months in KL...and oh, start going to class, dude!!

King of Fruits

These days, everywhere we drive, a sudden rush of a wonderful smell would pass by our nose. Ah, just awesome. My favourite season is here. Even better than Fashion Week. Why? Because those sticks with never ending legs would not go anywhere near it.

DURIANS!!!!!

*inhale.....burp*

One reason I would never ever live in another country.Ever. Well, unless they have these smelly thing.

I've had months of cravings and was almost conned by a man who was trying to sell ONE durian for a whopping 60 bucks.pffft. If I was back in Kedah, I could start my own durian spa...for free!!

Gosh, I miss kampung.

So I gathered up my durian-loving goons and attacked the durian place. I was a happy kid.

I still have not found a 'all-u-can-eat' durians for one price. Any recommendations??

Shoe festival

Alright super overdue. Probably cerita basi already.

Last week was the Shoe Festival. There is a longer name for it, but I call it "my date with unkle Jimmy". Sarah and I wanted to go on Thursday but we were not sure if it was open to public. That's when I tried calling PWTC, and I got transferred to the Prime Minister's office or something *cricket sound*.

So Friday off we went (because the PM would'nt attend my enquiries on Jimmy Choo). I was stuck in traffic forever. We went in at about 7.30 pm. Before the entrance was a showcase of clothes ala Gaga.

"Eh, arn't we going to a Shoe Festival??" -Me.

There was a shoe-designing competition or something and they had all entries showcased at the entrance/exit. Seriously guys, all sorts of creepy shoes there. I mean, I'm all for us being creative and stuff, but....

..... I'll just let you guys be the judge, ok.

I have to admit, some designs were awesome. But some..... not so much.

Oh the 1st prize winner :

It kinda looks like something you could get in Sungei Wang, right?

Inside was juast basically 'booths' of different brands of shoes, supposedly selling super cheap (don't be fooled, not much different). Got pretty dissapointed when all I saw was brands that I could walk to One Utama and see it (less crowded too). So we were just wandering around in a sea of eager shoe-holics.

...and we got stuck at one booth. She is a new (sort of) designer who produces amazingly gorgeous and comfortable shoes! She designs based on batiks, so she really turned traditional to sophisticated.

Sarah started crying and banging her head on the wall and start begging people on the street to buy her this one pair of shoes (espiacially when her mom stopped responding to her).heh.

That was about it. But! We did take a picture with Jimmy Choo. I spotted him behind me and I could not breathe..

Me : Oh. My.......*faint*
Sarah : *froze and smile* I know...
Fazna : *loudly* Who is that? ......Is that Jimmy Choo?
Me and Sarah : Uhuh.
Fazna : Oh we are so taking a picture with him *pulls me*

Embarassing.

Oh well, i touched him. Now I feel like I can design shoes in my sleep, y'all.

Ok my friends are going to kill me, but I lost the picture!! Its somewhere in my computer! Shit.

Nevermind, here's a picture of us with a big red shoe!

One Year

One year ago, I started this blog.

LuckyTwentyEight turns 1.

What made me registered, and wrote my first post was purely just me wanting to share with people how my daily life is like. Honestly, even I didnt know I was living quite a wonderful life until I write about it every other day, alhamdulillah. I guess i appreciate my life more when I see it in black and white (ok, maybe all the colours blogspot font has).

Its interesting to see my family come up and say they read my blog *waves at Sulaiman crew and AlMohdhar crew*. Of course I have my friends that scolds me when I dont update *Hi Fazu*.

Anyway, thank you all.

I hope my kids and grandchildren will read my blog and see what their mother/grandmama was up too. Ok, maybe you guys should not eat these unhealthy food I ate.

....to many many more years!!! Cheers *picks up a mug of rootbeer*

P.S I dont know what I've been busy with, but I have posts lined up to be published. Stay tune.

Review : Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa

Through Nuffnang, TGV have given me 4 complimentary tickets (any movie, any time) as a birthday gift! Thanks Nuffnang & TGV!!! *waves like a mad person*.

After going back and forth on choosing what to watch. Close call between ..dalam botol and HMM. All about supporting local movie industry here. At last we picked HMM.

We watched a pretty late show, and I don't know if it was the movie, or timing, or that I was dead tired, I got annoyed and was praying hard that the movie was ending soon. The only character I like in the movie was Ling Ling. I swear, she's so cute. Apart from that, I thought the movie quite sucked. ...ok, I really don't know history, so I didn't know that Romans are British. Are they?

Yes, it was an English-Malay movie, but their English sucked, and their Malay sucked more. Like there are no Malaysian to take up the leading role, they decided to take a foreign dude, and make him speak Malay.Smart.

Everything about the movie was just...weird. All the hu-ha about graphics was awesome and stuff, but honestly, it gave me a headache. Some scenes they tried to make it really funny (like there's one scene on the ship, where the prince and merong was sort of fighting, but he ended up reading out poems.creepy), it just looked like a scene from Pirates of the Carribean...gone wrong.

"You can't compare its quality with hollywood movie, but look at it and compare with Malaysian movie so far. It's pretty good right?" -Sofia

No. Adnan Sempit didnt have ships and swords and half naked men running around un underwear, it was still awesome.

HMM really wasted my time. Or maybe I was just so annoyed this idiot behind me kept coughing (without covering her damn mouth) throughout the movie.urgh.

RIP 24 hours

Sad, sad morning for me.

You see, the only pets that are allowed in this house are fishes. No cats, nothing furry that has a possibility to poop anywhere is allowed in this house. Thanks to a clean freak mom.

So for the past year, I've been buying fishes as pets. Some survived a day, some survived a year. RIP Wednesday, Ismail, Starbucks, Pillow, Sushi...and many many more fishes *cry*.

My favourite fish is 24 hours. He was the first fish I bought, last year, on my birthday.

He was such a happy fish, I even thought him how to dance.hehe.

This morning, I woke up to feed my fishes (I had 2 fishes only, Siti and 24hours)...

24 hours is gone!!!!!!

My oldest fish is dead. Dieded. Died.

Mommy wanted to fry him, and she did it with an evil laugh.Sobs.
