He is twentysomething

He is very proud when people around him goes 'reaaaaaaaally?' or 'you look really young' when he tells his age, and yes a lot of people think that I'm the older one in the relationship and that I'm walking around with a toyboy. No. I repeat, hell no.

A couple of days ago, Azrin turned 28! Yes, two years older than me thank you very much. Haih, I really need to start looking for some good anti-aging cream, I swear.

We both did'nt really plan anything for his birthday, but I managed to plan with stepmom and Shafiqah for a super super last minute dinner. In less than 24 hours. Pheeeew. I was planning to invite his family too and since his brother and aunties were going for a holiday, we had to make his surprise one day before his birthday.

Nothing fancy. Just at our usual favourite tomyum place. He picked Shafiqah and I up from my office and head to the spot.

Dad and stepmom were already there with the balloons and everything. They even went a day before to do reservations, order and called some guy to come sing Happy Birthday. Ngawh.

Happy Birthday Bobo!!!

Thank you Aunty Lynn, Abah, Shafiqah, Ashraf for helping :)

Sarah's Big Day

Last week, my other bestie got married, and her big day....woah. She was a bollywood princess from her henna night, nikah to her reception.

I went to her reception, went straight to the pelamin to hug her congratulations (I did'nt go for her henna night and nikah). Gorgeous. The food, delicious. Could block your arteries straight, but I guess it was worth it. Haha.

When we went to take pictures on the pelamin again, I whispered to her, "Lalat, when are you going to cut that freaking chocolate cake? I want! Looks yummy". Well, not my fault because she's been telling about that cake for days! *licks finger*

Congratulations Sarah & Rais!

They're not telling me where they're honeymoon-ing because they're scared I would just grab my hat and sunnies and tag along.

Pfft. You think I can't find out? Watch out Lalat *packs bag*

Cabaret

Azrin is a big fan of all this cabaret, musical, old-style show and when I told him Cabaret will be launching, he looked like he was getting a seizure *shakes head*. He was excitedly telling me about Liza Minnelli and what not...*birds chirping*

He even trusted me with his card to do the purchase. Woah...he must've really wanted to watch the show. I'll explain the other shoppings later ya. Love u, boo!

The show? Pretty good. Azrin said it is very similiar to the movie. I did'nt even know there's the movie Cabaret. Lols.

Nikki Palikat - amazing voice. Ashraf Sinclair - drool. Haha.

Compared to me, we both realised that Azrin is a bigger fan of theatres, movies, music, everything. Like he knows Grease from A-Z by heart -__-'. He will be the one dragging me to go watch shows...at my workplace.

Calm down. B.

Two in One

Its amazing to spend everyday dating, having dinner with your man and what not but at the end of the day, there are some things that only your girls can understand. Gossiping with with girl friends have different reaction that you get, compared to a nod and an awkward smile from your boyfriend after us putting our emotions in telling a story.

I haven't seen my girls for so long and we had a little glitch some time ago but I guess everything is OK now and what better way to celebrate it with a little...meni pedi.

Sarah is getting married next week and Sofia is going to pop in a couple of months. This shall be their baby shower + bridal shower. Haha. Oh well, we knew we picked cheap friends years ago.

We must've annoyed the ladies who did our nails because we were talking and talking that it was hard for them to ask us stuff and we kept moving our hand (because I wanted to rub Sofia's belly).

Right in front of the nails shop was a doughnut shop. Sofia was already aiming....

Don't mess with the pregnant lady and her....cravings? Haha. Seriously guys, as we were walking to the car, she saw an ice cream shop and she was chanting something while making her way there.

Sold.

Scary.

Congratulations to both of you ladies in advance. See you next week for Sarah's wedding! I don't have any saree to wear and even if I do, I don't think I know how to wear it. Help.

Mother's Day

It was Mother's Day last weekend. Happy to see everyone wishing their mothers, bringing their mothers out for shopping, dinner and all while all I can do was go to her grave and say some prayers to her.

God hearts her more and I'm glad I had 23 wonderful years with her. I miss her every single day.

Al-fatihah.

Nobody can replace her but to have Aunty Lynn take care of me at times when I fall sick is the closest I can get to Mama. Thank god Daddy didn't find Cinderella's stepmother. Lol. We didn't start off good but I guess everything can work out when both sides give each other a couple of chances and after a few years....stepmom and I would join forces to bully Daddy. Hehe.

So last Sunday was Stepmother's Day for me.

My little gift for her was stolen by Little Niece.

-__-'

Hope y'all had a wonderful Mother's Day! Please take care and appreciate your mother while she's still around.

Review : Pilot Cafe

How's your long long weekend people?

KL was quite empty and we could get parking in malls on weekend - superb! Azrin dragged me to go jalan jalan (Isn't it weird that the guy have to drag the girl to go shopping? Haih. That's because the mall he ajak-ed me had no Chanel. Lol)

I've heard about this malay movie the past week so I pulled Azrin's hand, put on a cute puppy face and say puhh leeeez. Sold.

I did'nt know what was wrong with me, if it was that time of the month or what but I cried throughout the freaking movie. Like from beginning to the end, and believe me it was a long movie. I mean, if you think about it, the story was not suppose to be sad or anything but.....tearfest!

Good storyline. Its not the kind of storyline you would want to be "i can relate to" but there are many many lessons in there especially to us ladies. For you boys out there, go watch and learn a thing or two about our feelings and stuff.

..after a couple of hours watching the movie...

"END OF PART ONE"

Whuuuuuut?! Grrr.

Good movie. Just bring loads of tissue.
