To Siem Reap

Alright its been almost 2 months since I went to Siem Reap, but I have not switched the laptop on for a very long time (we really need more than 24 hours in a day) until today, all thanks to the long weekend.

It was a super short trip to SR, which was enough for me considering there is really nothing much to do there. Pretty hard to find halal food, but I do love the selection of local dishes!

Honestly, there wasn't anything much to do there, tourist-y wise, so a three-day trip was just nice to me. Just nice to roam around, chill, do a little shopping and well, do tourist-y stuff! Haha.

Their main attraction is of course, Angkor Wat. The moment we got off the plane, people were promoting and asking us to go see it. We decided to do it on the second day since it will take "a whole day". Again, we took 1-day trip instead of the 3-day trip, which is the best decision I made on that trip because I thought I needed a new pair of legs at the end of that day. So. Much. Walking. And. Climbing.

We did ask the hotel to help arrange everything, and no, I did not go see their "sunrise" at 4am. I mean, its a holiday. I could be enjoying my sunrise on a unicorn under a rainbow with my new Chanel that I haven't bought yet- all in my sleep. Thanks.

So Angkor Wat is just one (the main one) of many pre-historic temples in SR. So with that 1-day tour, we covered about 6 temples and it will take about 7 hours to do that. We did have to take tuk tuk from one temple to another (all arranged by the hotel). So everything was easy.

Seriously, Azrin and I felt like we were in Temple Run. Only with many other players. Well, at one point Azrin felt like he is Jolie in Tomb Raider.

...if you guys plan to go, please bring lots of water. I enjoyed the whole thing but omg I was so tired from walking and climbing. Imagine 7 hours of climbing. It may be normal for some people, but my body was not happy.

That night we had a good massage (thank god for cheap massage!), and we got another one the next day haha!

For the rest of the trip, we were just chilling around town. Night markets, roaming around Pub Street listening to music. We do go to bars to enjoy their live bands and stuff while ordering snacks and water.

"B, these mat sallehs sure ingat kita tak betul sebab asyik order mineral water je"

Their beers are cheaper than water, so if you plan to drink up, go ahead! Haha!

Overall, I do enjoy SR. Quite a relaxing place for a short trip.

...oh yea, Happy Ramadhan everyone! Let's pray and hope we will all have a blessed Ramadhan..
