HK Trip- Food

One thing I learned from my past trips with Azrin is to plan everything properly since almost every country we went, the moment we wanted to travel around or look for food, we would just stand in the middle of the city, looking around and..*crickets*

So before the trip, everyday after work and before I go to bed, I will properly google and plan every single thing. Yes, Azrin might be ocd in packing, but in planning a trip, I still hold the trophy *flips hair*. He was impressed throughout the trip.

*bows*

Haha.

I googled a list of all the halal chinese food in hk and we planned to try every single one of them. Dim sum, duck rice, goose, wanton noodle, everything.

So yummy!

My favourite is obviously the dimsum. We went to the place twice, wanted to have them for the third time and rushed through the wind and rain only to find out it was closed due to the typhoon *cry*.

I think it is good to eat their food when you travel to another country. I mean, that is the whole point, right? By the end of the trip, it was chinese food overload for the both of us.

I Just Want To

A day before my flight to HK was when I read and saw the videos about the typhoon that was all over the news. Azrin was already calling MAS to cancel our flight but I told him to give it until the next day.

The next day, everyday was ay-ok and we decided to just go with it even when our flight got delayed twice! We reached HK and I was so pissed when i claimed my luggage looking like this.

Wet.

Azrin : Your perfume must have exploded

I sat in the middle of the arrival hall just to open my luggage up but everything was fine and dry inside. Outside was wet with a weird smell, maybe someone else's bottle of wine spilled all over it or something. What a way to start my holiday, huh?

It was a great trip until...

A day before my flight back to KL another typhoon stopped by HK and it was quite scary! All shops were closed, we could not really go anywhere but to just stay in and thankfully it slowed down the next day so we could make our way to the airport.

Reached the airport, checked-in and I got a text from MAS that the flight "will be delayed". After a few hours hours of waiting, as we were already in the plane ready to head home after a super tiring day at the airport, another announcement was made saying that "take off will be delayed for 1 hour due to traffic congestion".

It was nice that the pilots and flight attendants apologised a few times but I am just so freaking tired and part of me wanted to say "look, I really to go home because I am tired and I can't wait to try that durian mc flurry everyone is talking about" but I didn't want to sound like a brat so I just sipped my apple juice, munched on my peanuts, watch a movie and wait for the plane to take off.

Don't get me wrong. I just have serious homesick issues. I may be away for 2 days and I can be homesick, which is why my favourite part of any flight home is when they say "welcome home".

Debate

One of our debate topic- club memberships.

I've been telling Azrin it is pointless for us to have these memberships as one, we don't use them and two, to pay thousands per year is such a waste. Him being him, stands by his "no its good to have it".

..and the debate begins..

I really don't get it. Azrin have one in Kiara and I have another one in Shah Alam. We pay for it, but no, we havn't been going to use any of their facilities or even have dinner in years! My point is, might as well we donate the money to charity, right?

Azrin's point - Yea, but maybe one day we might need to use them and then we regret for selling them off.

-______________-'

Me : If you want to go gym (which trust me, we would never!), you can just go downstairs!
A: What if you want to swim
Me : You can't even swim. Anyway, also ada dekat bawah. Sauna also got.
A : What if I want to play tennis?
Me : Well, we've been through this. If sharapova nak ajar me also, she will give up. So no one will be able to teman you play.
A : Bowling?
Me : Shopping malls got bowling alleys now.

Hmmm.

Well, just to get the guilt out of us, we went for a game of badminton once in his club.

Ohmygod, we were both seeing stars after 10 minutes of playing! I could feel the uncles who were playing in the next court looking at us weirdly. Seriously. Dying.

Next day, lunch- my club.

Fair and square. Now they're useful. We shall see when will the next visits be.

Me : Aja, if I get pregnant one day, you jadi my gynae la.
Her : Err. No thanks.
Me : Alaaa. Why
Her : Don't think I want to see
Me : Eh. Dulu when we were small we use to mandi together and all..so yeah nothing to hide already kot.
Her : Errr..

Haih.

Anyway, we were suppose to reach this whole travelling to 40 countries before we turn 40 thing. We have been planning to go around Europe (to cover about 5 countries) for the past few months, but after a while we did not talk about it. Thats when Azrin and I planned the HK trip, but right after we bought everything she told me she was still on for the eurotrip.

Azrin was so pissed because he wants to go to Berlin. Yes, my husband asked if he could follow my cousin for her trip.

-_______-"

I offered Azaliya to come with us to HK but she bought her tickets already.

*cry*

Miscommunication issue.

So her "back for one month" is more like 2 weeks. Pfft.
