Dad's 63rd

Daddy's 63rd birthday (if you were to meet him anywhere, please tell him he looks 43 -___-') a couple of weeks ago so we planned a little birthday dinner for him with his favourite food - Seafood.

We picked red as our theme colour but when I reached the place, the first thing Abang said was "You guys could at least pick any colour that is not similiar to the chair".

Birthday boy came, we all ate our feelings to the point where we can't move after and passed Daddy his presents. Every year I can go crazy trying to figure out what to buy for him. When I asked stepmom, she said he wants clothes. Clothes?! Coming from a guy who have 2 rooms full of clothes and spends most of his time just sitting at home in his kain pelikat. So most of us got him..clothes. I must say the sweetest present was the one that Shafiqah gave to him.

*wipes tears*

He was opening his present from stepmom..

Dad : You guys guess what it is
Me : Baju!
Abang : Car!
Azrin : Teddy Bear!
Dad : Nope. My favouritest thing in the world.

All together : Lampu!

My super manly father, guys.

We took a group photo outside in front of a mirror and after that we were trying to figure out who's finger is that on the left. Scary.

"Aku dah cakap dah jangan ambik gambar depan cermin. Aku dah cakap dah" -Abang

Happy Birthday! Next year I get you big big big big lampu yeah?

Balik Kampung

I got kinda jealous when I see people having fun journey balik kampung especially when we have all sorts of holidays now. Friends taking trains or buses back to their hometown. I used to either go back to Kedah or Johor but now since my brother/SIL/father/stepmom all live in the same state, when I "balik kampung", I usually reach the destination before one the end of one raya song.

Since tomorrow is Hari Raya Haji, I wanted to have my "balik kampung" journey, so Azrin dragged me.....

....back to my Daddy's house! Hehehehe.

Oh well, at least we were in a train.

I was so excited, Azrin called me jakun. Ish.

Even Daddy was excited, because I told him I will call him to come and get us once we reach the station, but when I whatsapp him "5 stops away", his reply was

"I am already here"

Hmm.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha!

Skypark

Helena and Ashwin were back for a little while so we had the chance to go double dating for a few times before they flew back to Moscow.

The last time we went out, I asked Helena to pick a place and she insisted on this One City place and I thought that was random and fishy of her. We had dinner and she said she picked that place because she wanted to show/bring Azrin and I something.

Hmm.

I couldn't wait for surprises so I was quietly googling what was available there and of course she saw what I was doing...

"Ok lah, the surprise is more for Ajin and Ashwin I'm sure. Not for you, Sha. There is a skypark upstairs"

Azrin was already sweating. Haha.

We went up after dinner (we should have gone before dinner so that the food won't come out for the boys), it was only 10th or 11th floor or something. The place is pretty cool - wide space to chill, amazing view, pretty romantic (if your boyfriend/husband is not afraid of heights) and some parts of the floor are made of glass and transparent and you can see all the way down. Amazing!

Ashwin and Azrin stood at the side trying not to move at all while Helena and I were trying hard to convince them that it is safe and we should all walk to the middle of the park. Even some makciks were who were walking on it were looking at them weirdly. Shame.

At last, told them to close their eyes, and the girls held both their hands to walk towards the glass floor. Azrin's hands were sweating like cray. When we in the middle of the skypark, we asked them to open their eyes and Helena and I ran away from them. The boys froze, shivering and I swear they were holding on to each other. Hilarious.

Took a few pictures, and the girls had to guide them back to the "safe" part of the park.

Haih.

Uber Virgins

Crazy week I must say, with Azrin falling sick making a couple trips to the hospital and his car breaking down with a few trips to the workshops, now with a few thousand bucks happily flew out the window...we shall eat maggi for the rest of the month yeah? Hehe.

So this morning we had to send his car to the workshop again (when it just got out of the workshop yesterday -___-') and we thought we should just keep the car there until everything is fixed.

One problem : We were stranded at the workshop with no car.

Solution : Call Daddy to pinjam one of his car.

His answer : SIL is pinjam-ing because her car is rosak too.

Called SIL and she said we can pick it up at their house and since it is only 10 minutes away, I should just uber our way there.

Err. Azrin and I have never used this uber thingy.

So there we were, two uber virgins sitting by the roadside trying to download, register and figure out everything....and after half an hour our uber came. Yay! Success!

In the car, after a while I thought he was not going the correct way and suddenly "You have reached your destination".

*crickets*

Got out of the car in the middle of nowhere and apparently SIL gave a shorter version of her address. Tried to get another uber (which took quite long to figure everything out again. I know, Azrin and I are not so "cepat" with these things).

That uber dude had to call me a few times to find us..

Him : Err Hi Sharifah, where exactly are u?
Me : I have no idea.

Thank god the uber guy was friendly and helpful. Even he said "You guys don't use often, don't you?"

...but at last, we reached Abang's house. TTDI to Kota Damansara took us more than 1 hour. Haih.
