Magical Musical

A few weeks back, I got invited to the Premiere Gala of Magical Musical in Sunway Lagoon.

I eeniminimainimo-ed my friend and picked Sarah to be my plus one. After all, she is the more theatrical one, and you've got to admit she's the drama queen in the group.hee.

The line to go in was crazy. It was never ending... (and this was supposedly 10 mins before the show starts)

...see it went on to the far left of the picture.

..and it continues.

Alright, this musical is sort of a combination of most of broadway shows like Mamma Mia, Wicked, Saturday Night Fever, Fame, Hairspray yeap almost everything. They did toss in some Glee, PussycatDolls, some other 'recent' stuff too. I did not know what to expect in the beginning because I am not a big fan of musical and also the fact that more than half of the shows I mentioned, I have not watch it.

I did jump up and down when Glee came on.

Seriously, the stage is freaking gorgeous (also, I had awesome seats!).

Ok, I'll just let y'all see pictures. This is practically the whole show's worth of pictures. I ran out of memory half way through. See, just for you guys.

Now the show was superb!! Not one second throuout the show will you feel bored. With fireworks, fire blowing up from the floor, with the casts came up and dance with the audience, they really know how to surprise people I tell you.

I don't know until when the show will be on, but if you have some free time OR if you're a big fan of musicals and broadway shows (hi Azrin!), you should reaaaaaaaaallly go.

Review : KL Gangster

Yes yes, I'm on a malay movie frenzy now (eh, show support for the local industry/the fact that Malay actors are getting yummier).

After much hype here and there about this movie, on a beautiful Father's Day, off I went. Of course had to buy Dad a present for being missing on his day. Which, by the way went I got home, he was sleeping, opened one eye and took his present, went back to sleep with it. So cute right.

KL Gangster is i believe one of the best "gangster" malay movie ever. It just brings you through an emotional ride. There's humour, sadness, anger all in one. Good job! *standing ovation*. My eyes were probably glued to Adiputra's muscular, oily, vein-y arms. hehe.

*image of Remy Ishak on prayer's mat out*

*insert oily. topless Adiputra with an unlighted ciggerette in mouth*

I'm not a fan of Aaron Aziz at all, so that was a boo. But his character was drool-able (he did wear a kopiah and prayed so yay!). Yeah, his caring/macho/having 30 people belasah him and not a single scratch on was pretty amazeballs.

Why I find him super hot was the fact that he could handle all this comotion by himself. Unlike those other clique-y gangsters. Which I think is true. All this gangster/taiko/boss/abang long/kak long/mak long/pak ngah/cucu/cicit/cikgu/adik/kucing/tikus/whatever else they want to call themselves, they are only brave with 5 people behind them. I bet if they are alone, have a little puppy chasing them and they would run for their life, no?

....I cried during one part of the movie. KL's bravest gangster passed by a homeless kid sleeping by the roadside, actually stopped by and slipped a RM50 note in the kid's pocket. Some people's mother would not help their own child in need.

Anjing.

Awesome movie though. I see why people watch it 3, 4 times. Highly, recomended.

One quick question..is Shark suppose to be a Malay or Chinese?

Review: Nur Kasih The Movie

Have you guys watch Nur Kasih the series? If you hav'nt, you just missed out on a huge part of life.

Never heard of it? Well, you might be in the wrong country.

I wanted to watch it on the first day, but something happened.

Exam happened.

So before my last paper, I had to squeeze in some Nur Kasih time. I mean, dude, freaking bonds and shares can wait. I wanted to say hello to Adam *drool*. I even avoided gossip websites because I did'nt want to read any reviews and spoil my moment.

....after giving a piece of my mind to the cinema lady for only having one show per day (non-relevant time either), I dropped my I exchanged Financial Table with caramel popcorn.

5 minutes into the movie, I probably finished up 3 boxes of tissue. So.Freaking.Sad.

30 minutes into the movie, Azrin was on his 5th tissue box.hee.

Omg.Remy Ishak hello.

Its funny how 9 years back, we go 'ohh lala' on the boy with the spikiest hair with chains around his pants. But now, you see Remy Ishak on a prayer's mat you awww, you see Remy Ishak in a kain pelikat holding a Yassin you awww, you see Remy Ishak visiting a grave you aww.

Ok, maybe its just Remy Ishak *tapes a big ass poster of Remy Ishak on ceiling*.

Anyway, the movie really gave some closure from the series. If you havnt seen the series you would probably hear many crickets in the cinema. I was a tad dissapointed about the ending, because it was a bit pointless. Confusing, but pointless.

What I did love, was the messages the were trying to potray in the movie. Like how when a person who wears hijab does not mean they will go to heaven. At the end of the day its between that person and God. I believe in this. You may be out clubbing, partying, dancing away, but you don't know what that person does at home. For all you know, at least she prays 5 times a day, unlike some people who is all covered head to toe, but is out chilling by the roadside during Maghrib.

*shakes head*

Overall, it was an aite movie. They should've make it with a bit more twist.

Diet

I had four days between my stitches and the day I'm taking out those horrible stitches.

I could not eat anything, err, solid? food because it would get all tangled in the stitches (there's also a thread dangling near my throat).

Tried to eat speghetti, that did not turn out so good.

So for the past couple of days, my diet consists of these things.

Yummy, but god bless my blood sugar level.

I miss nasi goreng extra pedas taknak sayur telur goyang atas.

He Lied

I had a very very bad toothache 2 days ago, and when I woke up yesterday morning, I was reluctant to go for my exam, because, well, I was not fully prepared. and its Auditing *scream*.

...but Sharifah is a strong girl, and so off I went to do my paper. Half way through all I wanted to do was tear that damn paper and bang my head to the wall (because of the toothache!). I could have sworn the last few questions was answered with total crap *puppy eyes to Dad*.

Right after, I picked up Azrin and went to the dentist.

I.Hate.Dentists.

So hear's the problem. I have a tooth on my palate. A bit weird because its not on my gums but on my palate. Its because there were too many teeth (i still have a couple of baby teeth heee). So now my wisdom tooth is coming, there is really no space and everything is pushing each other. So genius dentist wanted to pull out my weird tooth (the one on my palate).

...that was my favourite tooth *cry*. it made me feel special.

Me : Will this hurt?
Dentist : No no no, you wont feel a thing

Well, that nasty old man was a big fat liar. He could not pull out my weird tooth (I have superman teeth btw) so what he did was, he cut the palate around the tooth and pull it out.

Psycho.

Than he stitched god knows what.three times.

Double psycho.

See that black part? That was where the tooth was. Now that's the thread.Eeeeek.

As soon as I stepped out of the clinic, it starting to hurt like a *teeeeeeeeeet*. I guess Azrin enjoyed his peaceful 10 minutes when I could not talk. I bet he wished he could stuff cotton in my mouth all the time.

When I got home, I called him.

Me : *yap yap yap yap*
Azrin : Arn't you suppose to rest your mouth. Stop talking
Me: *countinues yapping*

Framed

So for Azrin 24th birthday, he organised a little dinner party (sorry, hun.everyone's busy with exam and work, so no surprise for u!) at this place called Frames, at Sunway Pyramid.

I don't like having dinner on one long table, because the person on one end cant have a conversation with the person on the other end. Plus, it kinda feel like you're eating in a prison.

How do you arrange your party so that everyone can talk to everyone? Maybe we should just stand up and walk around and eat.

But mommy said it is not good to stand while eating.

Food.Food.Food. We were all starving, and all our food arrived, except birthday boy's and his brother's (ni sure dua dua tak mandi.bad luck). Like 13 hours late. When it came, our food was all cold (yeck!). Since all of us havnt eaten in weeks, cold or hot, plates could turn into mirrors.

"Happy Birthday to yoo..U smell like the loo..."

Ok.Wish me luck for my exams people!!
Shit.Havnt blog on Fara's birthday.
