Triple Date

Haven't seen my makciks for just too long already, so at last, met for an amazing dinner last night, minus one makcik who was just too busy working (growing up sucks, huh?). Even last night, everyone was late, since the traffic was just so cantik, except for Fara and Bahagia, where they finished gym and everything, but the rest of us were still not there yet.

Note to self : Apply for next job out of kl area.

I guess dinner yesterday was mainly to celebrate our newly engaged Fara and Bahagia. Congratulations, guys! Final wedding in the group for us to attend *clap clap*.

Some of the conversations among the makciks.

Fara : For my wedding, you guys should wear belacan pink.
Me : Oh no, Sofi is gonna come in green! You should've said green.
Sofia : I think I'll wear my baju pengantin. If can still fit la.

Sofia : Pengantins will always be the ones who won't enjoy the food at their own wedding
Fara : Itu la! My wedding nanti ada one whole kambing, I told my mom to simpan one whole leg for me
Me : Tak pelik ke if people tengok your kambing got three kaki only?
Sofia : Its ok, if people ask, say the kambing patah kaki.

The boys were just eating away. Haha.

So good to talk about nonsense with the girls sometimes. Used to do it everyday from morning to night *shakes head*

Sofi is excited with food

Have fun in Jakarta, Bing!

Couple of Hours

I tell you, Azrin and I have been in quite a roller coaster the past few weeks. Azrin have been working for more than 12 hours everyday. So while waiting for him, I will be trying to solve a some problem that just keeps coming.

First, a few issues with the constructions here and there with the new house, and we need to move in by April. Pray that we will not be homeless. Then about the car, they told me the last time they could fix everything, but they called me last week and said it is a "total loss". Haih. Also, I have been going in and out the hospital for checkups, and will be going for a minor operation next week. Please please pray that everything will be ay ok for me. Nothing major though, but still.

So with all this shannanigs going on, I thought my brain just can't handle it no more for now. Too much thinking. I told Azrin maybe we just need some time out. Like a few hours of ignoring every single problems we have, enjoying one or two scoops of ice cream and talk about things like unicorns. You know, real stuff.

"Eh, include la Amyra Rosli in the picture" - Azrin

Good couple of hours.

Now lets get back to solving problems.

Out of Fourteen

If y'all are not into mushy stuff, please move the cursor to the top right and click. Won't be suitable.

Yesterday before we went to bed, Azrin was reading an article on his phone, loudly.

Let's see. I was pretending to sleep.

1. She is smarter than you.
Him : Haha of course la, duh

2. She is honest.
Him : I guess so. Yes la kut.

3. She has a positive outlook.
Him : Oh yes.

4. She compromises.
Him : Most of the time.

5. She laughs at your jokes.
Him : Hehehehe. She have to.

6. She has an open heart.
Him : *gave me a kiss*

7. She supports your goals and pursues her own
Him : Well, she is the reason I am where I am now.

8. She has good relationships with her parents
Him : Of course!

9. She is kind
Him : Yes, except to Bentencho *looks at Bentencho*

10. She remains calms in fights and calms you down too
Him : Now, yes. Back then, hell no. Haha

11. She does foolish things with you
Him : All. The. Time.

12. She has a life of her own.
Him : Maybe?

13. She accepts your flaws.
Him : ...and I accept hers.

14. She does not bear grudges.
Him : Ha!! This one no! No way!

"Hmm..13 out of 14. Ok la tu. That's why takda lain"

Pfft. He knew I was just pretending to sleep, that's why all the sweet-talking came out. Right?

Hehe. Kisses.

Casual Outing

Throughout the number of years of friendship between my girlfriends and I, we always have a few names for each other.

Like Sofia for example, started of with Sofi, Po, Posie, Peah, Fie and many more. As for me, they used to call me Sha, Shepie, Cik P, Pah. So now, to make things easier for my girls and I, we just call each other Makcik. Hehe.

Anyway, Sofia have been asking me to come over to her new place since there is a good cheese naan place somewhere there and we have quite a lot of catching up to do.

Little Lilly is growing up so so fast!

Aunty Sha : Lilly, when you grow up, be just like Kim Kardashian ok. I will show you who she is
Sofia : Nooooo
Hazren : Eh!

Yes!

It was nice just talking about old days, our future and as usual I will be the first one to be sleepy.

Round Two

I have been going around all kinds of specialists in different hospitals all over the place. Assunta, Damansara Specialists, Ramsay, you name it I've checked myself in. The doctors know there is something wrong about me but they can't seem to find what is wrong. Weird, because even I don't feel so good sometimes, but I just don't know why.

Tests, scans, all the results came out as perfectly fine. Alhamdulillah, but then what is up with me? Even the doctors are confused. Last week I went to a new doctor (rolls eyes), but there are these three letters that I don't ever want to here from a doctor (I think you guys should pray that they won't say them to you too!)

MRI

*cry*

My heart stopped for a bit. I did it once a couple of years back, but they did not find anything weird (thank god!) but she thinks we should give it another try, this time at a specific place because their machine is more high tech and maybe they can see...err, deeper?

Haih.

So yes, I just finished my MRI and to be honest I am still shivering. You see, my claustrophobia is hrmm. Lets just say I would not step into a lift with more than four people. Keep that in mind ok.

I was waiting for my turn in the hall outside the room, and I could hear the MRI sound, you know the sound that is more kecoh than a Tiesto event. Images of my last MRI came running back. Started to sweat and shiver all at the same time. Funny how I could hardly remember things I did last month but suddenly I can remember things from four years ago. Haih.

It was my turn and I wanted to cry. I prayed all the doa I knew throughout. At the end of it they informed me they needed to injected me with something and extend another 10 minutes. Felt like stabbing someone, seriously.

..but I made it, alive! Alhamdulillah.

Yes, exaggerating, but if you are me...hehe. I don't care about the result. I just want to get out of that freaking tunnel!

Split Second

I was involved in a quite major accident on Monday.

How did it happen?

I was on the way to work, car lost control, thank god I managed to avoid banging any other cars. Phew. Everything happened within a split second, that I could not recall the exact thing (not that I want to recall it, if possible I just want to hit the delete button).

Well, I am very very thankful I am still alive. I got away with just bruises and scratches here and there. Alhamdulillah. Glad so many people stopped to help me that morning (even though they were all probably late for work already! We have helpful Malaysians, I am proud).

Anyway, Azrin came from work after I called him and we settled everything throughout the whole day. By the end of the day, I was so tired that I just wanted to go home and sleep (and hoped that it was all just a dream).

The next day I went to work like normal but after a while I felt this dizzy-ness and weird headache come and goes. Same thing the next day, but headache getting worst. So I did go to the doctor's at night. Three days after the accident, hehe.

*explaining everything to the doctor*
Doctor : After that kind of accident, you went to work the next day?!
Me : Err..yes. and the day after
Doctor : *looks at Azrin* Why did you let her go to work?

Haih.

Yes yes, my body needs the "rest" from the trauma and whatnot.

So here I am, at home with Bentencho, without a car.

Anybody wants to bring me a nice dessert, you are more than welcome.

Hee.

Resident Evil : The Final Chapter

For the past two weeks, he have been bugging and begging me to watch this movie the moment it comes out, using all sorts of ayat manis like "we watched all resident evil movies together" and "this will be the last one" non stop but I kept making up stories like "I've got something to do this week" and "You have to teman me watch Moana first".

Pfft. What lah him. We have not missed any of the Resident Evil movies, since zaman dating back then. Little did hubby know, I have actually purchased the tickets last week *pats back*. Presented this yesterday (on the show day)..

His reaction : Omg! My birthday ke?!

Haih. Can't a wife be nice and sweet once in a while (no, I don't know who that Chanel catalogue with a few folded pages on you table belongs to though, hehe)

...and any movies in Beanie cinema, sold! Why I have stopped watching movies gsc since they launched Beanie. Watching in Beanie is just super comfy.

How was the movie?

To be honest, I thought as their "final chapter", they would end it with a...bang! Ngeh, quite slow and storyline don't really make sense. Only the final 20 minutes was the most exciting and..touching.

Azrin really liked it though.

If you have been following the movies/game whatnot, you should watch. If not, don't bother.

Nine

It was me and Azrin's 9th anniversary on Thursday!

Nope, did not have anything big planned, because one, finances. Two, I was so sick for the past week, I couldn't even wear makeup and look pretty for my husband on our anniversary. Sad.

I did beg Azrin for the past few months to go for a short holiday but he would just hand me back the receipts of renovations on our new house. Haih. Fine, we will go holiday for my birthday, ok baby?

*dances*

Anyyyywayyy...woah nine years!

Thank you for supporting me in every single thing. That is saying yes to all sorts of weird shannanigs for nine years, and still not getting bored of it. To many many more crazy things in our list, ya?

Speechless. Don't know what to say. Super thankful.

Thanks, B!

Review : Dangal

A few of my colleagues have been talking about this movie and I felt almost left out not knowing about it so I dragged Azrin for a movie date night, even if he is not a big fan of that kind of movies (maybe also because I have bought the tickets and he had no choice, hehe).

Dangal. Aamir Khan (older, more macho). Nuff said.

Many many good values in the movie, I must say. Family, determination to name a few. A father who was a wrestler, really wanted a baby boy just so he could train that boy to grow up to be a wrestler just like him until his wife popped out a girl every time. Four girls, no boy. Even after he trying/following all sorts of "pantang".

So what to do when you have that semangat do something about your country wrestling industry, but you have four girls which in their culture should be staying in the kitchen and cook?

Watch and find out!

Azrin and I learned that we should always listen to our Daddy, no matter what, in whatever issue because they will always just think of the best for us.

.....but my Daddy said drink root beer to kill off the sweetness if the cupcake is too sweet....

Hmm.

Do bring lots of tissue, guys. I mean, I could see a few drops down Azrin's cheek. Maybe he cried because he don't have Aamir Khan's body. Its ok, 2017 resolution, no?

Hehe.

Painter

The place that Azrin and I purchased is completed and we just took the keys and what not a few weeks back. So we have about four months to get it ready for us to move in before the renting contract on our current place ends. Four months. Daddy said "lama lagi tu.."

I don't think so.

First, we need to paint the place, no? We discussed on should we pay someone to do it or what. Genius me said we can do it by ourselves. Ourselves meaning just Azrin and I. Haih. Well, the price to hire someone to paint a small unit..is crazy! I mean, we still have other constructions to do, buying all sorts of things, we have to start paying full monthly installments AND our current rental *looks at bank account balance and cry*.

Cheers to a meggi cup a day for the next four months, ok sayang?

Anywho, about this painting shannanigs, we decided to give it a try (not that we have a choice), so we bought the paint, rollers, brushes and stole whatever we can from Daddy's house and were excited on our Project Painting.

Day 1

A whole freaking day, and we finished one wall.

That's right. Not a room, just a wall.

We had that was-this-the-right-decision look to each other and maybe white looks "classier", no?

Haih.

We did continue for the next two days, which means we covered three walls! *bows*

Azrin's arm and shoulder are in pain, and my back...omg!

How now brown cow?

Big brother

Gotta find more time to blog, seriously.

Also need a holiday but I've been telling myself that about six months ago and it is already coming to 2017. Too many things going on..haih.

So last week was Abang and Shafiqah's birthday and we had a small dinner (as usual) but it was so kecoh omg, since we were the only ones in the restaurant. New place, super nice food, super cheap too!

See, the cafe even post about us on their instagram!

Kecoh Coolest, ok! *puts on sunnies*

Well, Abang told the whole world it was his 26th birthday (woah I have an adik now!) *rolls eyes*, even with his almost-full-white-hair and all sorts of sickness sending its invitation to him day by day (gahaha) but congratulations that you sedar diri on that and doing all sorts of healthy stuff until you lose that much weight in such a short time. I will try to keep up to that yea *munch on nasi lemak*.

Happy 36th, George Clooney wannabe!

Oh and Merry Christmas everyone!!

Dirgahayu

Azrin and I are both big fans of malay dramas (so called American Boy la him). From Idaman, Nur Kasih, Chinta right up to Suri Hati Mr. Pilot, it is really not hard to get us to people to shut off our phones, tapau some mamak, and sit at home stuck with all these dramas on weekends.

Usually we would love their songs and would sing to it all day, him pretending that he is Aaron Aziz running by the beach with wind running through his hair, you know the deal. For our latest addiction, Lara Aishah, the song is nice but he gets annoyed by the 2 seconds of "Cinta Dirgahayu" that keeps repeating throughout (sorry faizal tahir and siti nurhaliza).

When he was in the shower yesterday, I put on my technical cap and put myself on a mission *evil laugh*

....and look what I did!

Hehehe *flips hair*

Ok I know he won't read my blog. I shall call him when he is at work.

Hilang macho.

Earrings

Abang told us in our family group that Elisa will be going for a minor operation yesterday afternoon. I was quite shocked because she looked quite normal having her ghee thosai a few days before.

Hmm..was it the thosai?

Azrin and I went to visit her after dinner at the hospital with a couple of doughnuts as gifts (flowers - so yesterday) which of course Little Sofia happily finished them. Haih.

So what happened to Elisa?

She had to get a couple of stones removed from her gallbladder. Took a look at the stones...

Woah!

"So big! Can buat cincin lah like this"

"Got two. Planning on turning them into earrings"

-_____-'

Can't imagine them vacuuming the stones out. Eek.

"Elisa vacuum tadi, she had a liposuction. Lepas lipo macam ni" -Abang

No, I don't have no brother.

This is how...

...we eat pizza!

When we went for a date almost a decade ago, I told Azrin that I am not a big fan of Italian food. I'm pretty sure Azrin was thinking if he should "go on" dating this girl or not since that is his favourite food.

See, everything happens for a reason because whenever we order pizza, we will cut them like this.

Separate the crusts from the pizza.

Why?

Azrin usually throws away the crusts. I only eat the crusts.

This is what we call love.

Don't Judge

A colleague was telling me about a movie she was watching the night before and how I should watch this movie too. What she told me was quite interesting so after dinner I asked if Azrin wanted to join me watch that movie.

"Oh that movie about the two kids? People say don't watch. It is too depressing"

Well, I didn't really want him to watch that movie with me anyway because he is super sensitive to those kind of....issues. Haha. As I was watching, he was doing he's own things on the laptop but yeah, half way through the movie, he was cursing away until I got stressed out. Haih. Thank god the movie was in japanese, so I didn't really need to hear what they were talking about because clearly the voice-over next to me was louder.

...oh the movie is called "Sunk into the womb" by the way, and it is about a mother with two kids, left by the husband, later on followed her boyfriend and left her 2 little kids (little as in they can't even talk yet!) in the house. So the "bigger sister" had to take care of the adik until at one point the adik died and rot in the house..the mum did come back towards the end of the movie, but you guys have to see what did she come back for.

-_______-"

I was fine with the movie. Sad, but fine. Azrin? Gone case. Well, I told him not to watch but stubborn.

Azrin's point - we always blame the men/fathers in our society when things like this happens to kids/marriage but there are times where the women would do more cruel things and they deserve a slap in the face.

My point - but the father left the whole family first. Isn't he the cause of the problem?

...and we both went to sleep.

Haha. Watch it, guys!

Confidence

Testing testing.

Havn't been blogging for so long, its crazy. I have been so busy (busy doing what also I don't know), that both Azrin and I are only at home to sleep. Even on weekends. Haih. So many series to catch up on. I was planning to get a haircut more than two months ago, still havn't had the time to do it. Starting to look like a lion.

Speaking of haircuts..

Azrin went to get a "haircut" and when he got back, I could hear him from the front door- not too happy.

"B, i think that dude misunderstood the meaning of "shave bald"

Uh-oh

I kept looking at his head and his confidence was getting...err...you know what I'm saying right? So his solution?

Hehe.

Please ignore the change whenever you guys meet him ok.

Dad's 63rd

Daddy's 63rd birthday (if you were to meet him anywhere, please tell him he looks 43 -___-') a couple of weeks ago so we planned a little birthday dinner for him with his favourite food - Seafood.

We picked red as our theme colour but when I reached the place, the first thing Abang said was "You guys could at least pick any colour that is not similiar to the chair".

Birthday boy came, we all ate our feelings to the point where we can't move after and passed Daddy his presents. Every year I can go crazy trying to figure out what to buy for him. When I asked stepmom, she said he wants clothes. Clothes?! Coming from a guy who have 2 rooms full of clothes and spends most of his time just sitting at home in his kain pelikat. So most of us got him..clothes. I must say the sweetest present was the one that Shafiqah gave to him.

*wipes tears*

He was opening his present from stepmom..

Dad : You guys guess what it is
Me : Baju!
Abang : Car!
Azrin : Teddy Bear!
Dad : Nope. My favouritest thing in the world.

All together : Lampu!

My super manly father, guys.

We took a group photo outside in front of a mirror and after that we were trying to figure out who's finger is that on the left. Scary.

"Aku dah cakap dah jangan ambik gambar depan cermin. Aku dah cakap dah" -Abang

Happy Birthday! Next year I get you big big big big lampu yeah?

Balik Kampung

I got kinda jealous when I see people having fun journey balik kampung especially when we have all sorts of holidays now. Friends taking trains or buses back to their hometown. I used to either go back to Kedah or Johor but now since my brother/SIL/father/stepmom all live in the same state, when I "balik kampung", I usually reach the destination before one the end of one raya song.

Since tomorrow is Hari Raya Haji, I wanted to have my "balik kampung" journey, so Azrin dragged me.....

....back to my Daddy's house! Hehehehe.

Oh well, at least we were in a train.

I was so excited, Azrin called me jakun. Ish.

Even Daddy was excited, because I told him I will call him to come and get us once we reach the station, but when I whatsapp him "5 stops away", his reply was

"I am already here"

Hmm.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha!
