Raya 2017
So how's raya, everyone? I see people in gorgeous colour-coordinated raya clothes all over facebook for a few days. Happy!
Since it was a long holiday, everyone have been travelling south, north, east and west to balik kampung but Azrin and I were excited to go around KL to everyone's house. We tell people we are "orang KL", but we talk to each other with super pekat nothern accent and someone will always ask "tak balik kampung ke?"
"Tak, makcik. Kami orang kl. Speaking malay also little little je. You know, lots of mix"
Oh I'm so funny.
Here are some pictures for our Raya. We started our morning going around Azrin's family and headed to my family. Couldn't stop eating. Amazing!
Again, Selamat Hari Raya everyone! Yes, it is going to be a whole month of Raya. Now is our time to see family, friends, neighbours, everyone! maaf zahir batin!
Burp.

Height Test
One thing I realised about Azrin is that he will sleep throughout ALL the flights we've been on together. You can imagine how bored I must have been right? The moment he fasten his seatbelt, he will shut his eyes, right to the point where the flight attendant/pilot says "welcome home".
Haih.
So we are going to HK in August and he have been bugging me to go to Disneyland but I said "one condition, you must naik any rides I want". Of course, he went pale. Haha. I decided to test something on our flight back from Bangkok last week.
"B, you can't sleep if you want to go Disneyland"
Seriously, as we were taking off, his palms were sweating like crazy, he was asking me if the flight was ok, if we were going to crash, if the plane was going to terbalik every FIVE minutes. It was fun scaring him at first, but I ignored him after half an hour.
-________-"
He gave up so I guess no Disneyland.
Anyway, it was a short trip for us to Bangkok. We have both never been there. Three days, did not do anything much.
Many said "oh you look Thai". Haha.
...ok to be continued!

SHR
Super tired!
Touched down from Bangkok yesterday evening, rushed home to get the house clean a bit for raya (it was ok when we left, but Bentencho had the house all to herself for three days), ordered in something for buka puasa and head to Daddy's house to prove to him that his daughter will be celebrating raya here with him and not with the pop princess.
-____________-"
....and now its Raya!
Selamat Hari Raya from us. Maaf zahir dan batin.
Let the month of open houses begins!
Hehe.

Setahun Sekali
I've got to spend with my girls last week, amazing! Honestly, I am not a big fan of buffet (anymore). Usually, one meal is enough for me and just a few desserts can make me happy for the night. Signs of ageing, I must say. I mean even Azrin was able to clear up the buffet table, could only a couple plates of rice (haha!) and a few slices of brownies plus some more other desserts. Shame on him.
So when we were planning on the buka puasa, the girls and I agreed on a non-buffet meal, since we are all makciks already. Well, ended up with Sarah got a deal somewhere for a cheap buffet. Heh. Sold.
Arabic food? Buffet? We were all aiming for the lamb for the whole day! No, no lamb! Sofia was this close to punching the chef.
Fara and I were exploding after the first plate of rice and we were wondering how are we going to make our money worth the whole buka puasa. Azrin and Sarah were going on cream caramel marathon the whole night (diabetes alert!).
Amazing time to be with eveyone and yes, Fara is getting married soon!! *dances*

Addictive
Ramadhan is here. One thing I like to do especially early in the morning on the weekends before going out for sahur- my Honey Koko Flakes! Kinda a little project Azrin and I started.
Yes, I have been selling them for the past five years for fasting month and raya. Alhamdulillah, they have been saying that its yummy. I hope they are not lying (well, they order repeatedly for the next four years!).
I remembered I think it two years ago, Azrin and I got too many orders and it was already two days before raya- oh it went cray in the kitchen!
So now, please order earlier people!
Come on! RM16
...and no, one is not enough! Believe me.

Thirty
Him : B, My top three favourite kind of food?
Me : Italian. Japanese.
Him : Correct. One more?
Me : Mexican!
Him : No.
Me : My cooking?
Him : Err..
So of course to celebrate his 30th birthday, I decided to get him his italian food for our buka puasa last night.
I don't know how he can break fast with all the super creamy pasta (probably why he puked when we got home, but its normal for Azrin to puke after buka puasa. Every single time).
As we were heading out of the restaurant, he passed me my purse..
Me : Why did you take my purse
Azrin : I didn't want you to pay, so I hid it.
Me : Haha. No need susah susah. I wasn't planning to pay pun.
Azrin : Tu la..
He is so lucky to have a wife like me, no? Gahaha.
Well, I let him have his Italian food, so I thought that was already the gift.
Anyway, Happy Birthday B! You are already 30! You should be proud to have a twenty-something wife for a couple more years. We go lepak lepak any jazz club after raya ya? Hehe. Love you!

Dim Yum
Been sick for a couple of weeks, and I passed the virus to Azrin its like a sneezing battlefield here at home.
Alhamdulillah, Getting better.
It was stepmom's birthday last week and we decided to bring her to have dimsum, something her husband will never bring her to. Tsk tsk. See how Daddy looks like when there are dimsums in front of him hehe.
Abang was in charge of ordering, as usual he will order enough for ten families to eat. We had to pinjam a few tables next to us to put the food. I tell you, I was already exploding, but the waitress kept saying "the fish will be here soon" and "the squid is here". Never ending.
...everyone just said "its ok, Ajin ada". Yes, he might be the smallest in my family, but his job is always to finish all the food. Unfortunately we were not feeling well that time, so he kept nudging me with a "B, cannot la, nak terkeluar dah!" everytime someone push food to him. Haha.
We all could not move after all that food, until I said "Eh, but we have the cake!" and the just gave me the look. Its ok, we will go karaoke, to "digest" the food, and cut the cake then. Genius.
Happy Birthday Maktiru! Hope you had a blast.

But Fun
How was your long weekend, everyone?
Mine? Fun. Tiring, but fun. Seriously. One, I wanted to cry when I woke up for work this morning, hoping that it was another day of holiday. Two, I missed a meeting because I thought it is Monday. Wake up, Sharifah.
Started with a day trip on Saturday to the south for a cousin's wedding. Stuck in traffic. The traffic was so crazy I was just hoping that there will still be food when Azrin and I reach wedding (since we were already in a bad hungry mood!)
Reached the wedding. Ate our feelings. Met everyone. Went back to KL before it got dark (because both Azrin and I can't drive if its dark).
Congrats Syazana and hubby!
Sunday. Azrin wanted to do a housewarming get together for his family (because my family is still in Johor and his family is going to US soon). Woke up early to prepare food *ehem, puts apron on*
Took almost half a day to prepare food *pats back*. I'm sure nobody believed that I cook it myself and I was quite sure Sarah came with diarrhea mediation (haih!) but I made....
*bows*
Thanks Maktiru!
Amazing time with Azrin's family. No pictures because some of the boys were watching F1 and football while the rest were too busy playing scrabble (which Azrin and I lost!).
Azrin and I were so tired by then but Monday we had some baking to do. We have a few orders to complete, and short of a few things, so had to go around KL in the morning, and spent the whole afternoon and evening baking.
Want to order? Hurry! RM16 only!
So. Bloody. Tired.
Weekend, please come quick.

Thunderstorm
Been cray cray in the office. Every colleague I talk to will be about "thunderstorm". Yes, its been raining cats and dogs lately, but our show this week is Thunderstorm. So can talk about either the thunderstorm inside or outside (geddit? geddit?).
Sold out about a week before its opening *dances* and we have to put extra chairs here and there due to its high demand *confetti*. Azrin came to watch with me last night.
Carmen Soo *wipes Azrin's drool*.
Amazing show. To see all the hardwork being put in to come up with a show. Respect.
Thunderstorm is a drama about family, society and corruption. Chou Pu-Yuan is the head of a wealthy, successful and seemingly happy household. But a storm is gathering. For behind the veneer of respectability lies of a web of intrigue, and a dark family secret.
Based on the acclaimed play by Tsao Yu, this production of Thunderstorm (in English) will be set in Malaysia and is dedicated to the late Mustafa Noor and the late Najib Nor director and costume designer of “RIBUT” of 1985.
I could see that everyone of the full house enjoyed the awesome storyline.Wednesday, April 19, 2017
Its Been Two Years
This date, two years ago, Azrin and I officially became husband and wife. We like to celebrate all kinds of monthasary, anniversary etc but since now there is the nikah, wedding, our original anniversary, we agreed to not celebrate everything else except the date that we got together as a couple.
Just that I "remembered" that today was our nikah date, so no harm in going out for a movie, no?
Just a small dinner (no kampachi because we were super late for movie) and we went to watch FF8 (good movie!).
So..
Two years ago, the moment when Azrin said the whole "Aku terima nikahnya.." I did not realise that I will learn so many things from a marriage. Seriously.
Every single day there will be something new I learn. Everything comes in a package- laughter, screaming, crying. I must say it is not easy living with a boy, now also with a cat but yes, I am so happy.
A few things I learnt and must keep in mind, probably forever.
- Don't kacau him when he is sleeping in the middle of the night.
- Some people need to have his things and clothes properly ironed and organised *rolls eyes*
- I appreciate it when he rates my cooking a 10/10 even if I serve him burnt nuggets.
- We love how we smell.
- I thought I was the shopaholic..*shakes head*
Me : I'm not being a queen control here baby, but I think I should keep your credit card from the way you are spending
Him : Pfft. When I get the statement it will be all from Chanel.
Me : From Emirates Airlines, because mahal to shop here..but that's not the point!
Happy sort of anniversary, baby!
..more to come!

Carpenter Husband
Saturday. Sha planned to have the puppy house at work cemented all by herself. I told Azrin Sha's crazy plan and he offered himself to help her. What a helpful husband I have, right? *melts*.
So I went up to work while Azrin was with Sha with their little puppy house project downstairs. Yes, we have many stray puppies and dogs that klpac people decided to build a little house for them. We are super animal friendly that even people who come to watch shows will donate cash, food, toys etc for the animals. Proud to know that we still do have them love for animals.
Anyhu, I finished work, thinking that Sha and Azrin would be done..
Not. Even. Close.
Faridah : I heard your husband is a carpenter.
Me : Yes Faridah. Part time.
-____-'
Helpful me was just sitting on piles of packed cement sprinkling water on both of them like it was Sunway Lagoon. Hehe.
They
Tsk tsk.

Two Nine Five
One more issue, settled! The whole car accident thingy, all done! Got our payment back from insurance and we were thinking on getting a new car.
We purchased our last car from Esther and I'm telling you, she is a ball of fun! Amazing customer service (she even helped me through the accident!), so when Azrin and I were deciding on what car to buy, we called her straight.
We went to lepak with her to get a car. You see, even she knew this about us. I don't really care about which car, what colour etc. Took us 15 minutes to settle those, but when it comes to this one area..she started shaking her head.
Registration Number.
"I am the chinese one and I also don't care my car got the number 4" -Esther
I must have gotten this from my father. His ocd-ness that all his cars have the same digits. So for Azrin and I, our last car (yes, the one that I crashed, the registration number was 283- my birthday!), but many people around us (including Esther) said don't repeat or re-use the number especially after an accident.
So after almost an hour of discussing numbers, since our anniversary date is too precious and would cost us too much to get the freaking number, we decided to go for Azrin's birthday for this car!
So yay!!
Esther : Eh this car please use after long long time only come back to me to get a new one.
Me : Can. I will come to you. Just don't work in Lamborghini or something la.

Tiny Cubes
I officially hate moving. It is so tiring and endless. Seriously, guys! Its been more than a week but everything is still everywhere! Haih. I am so tired. I told everyone close to me that once everything is done (like, really done!) I would just want to lie down and sleep for two days.
Fine, Azrin is doing most of the work and I am just pretending to be busy but hey, pretending to kemas rumah can be tiring too, ok!
So yes, had my my birthday dinner with the family. Since no japanese food with them, I picked...
Good times! Throughout dinner, there were about four other "happy birthdays"
-_____-'
After twenty eight years living in this beautiful world, I realised that my birthdate is becoming more non-special. Seriously, my reaction these days will just be "oh ya mine too" when I find out someone else's birthday is the same as mine. I used to be super excited but now? mehh.
"I wonder what is exactly nine months before 28th of March? Is it valentine's day? Gahaha"
Anywho, I went to Ruqqie's 1st birthday celebration last week, but little baby's mummy gave me present! Hehe!
Awwww. Clap clap.
Want to know what is inside?
Haha! Sarah talked about this before and she said it is not available here in our country..but here it is! All safely in my tummy already. Burp.
Thanks Sarah. Such a helpful snack for me while Azrin was packing and moving.
