Durian Pancake

Yesterday Azrin and I celebrated our monthesarry. It was our...err..*think hard* many many months anniversary. All I know is every 12th is an anniversary, so I lost track of how many months.heh.

Look at what Azrin gave me! It still amazes me that he would still buy me presents every month, even when I thought, at this point, just a dinner for two would be fine. He still showers me with this and that.

He knew my tendonitis problem and my love for shoes, so he called up all my friends, asked for my shoe size, and got me a comfortable pair of wedges.

Awwwwwwwwwww. Sofreakingsweet.

I was at the hospital, reading a magazine, and saw an article on a shop that sells all sorts of durian desserts *died*.

It is called Sri Karak, in PJ.

However we got there quite late, and almost all the desserts were finished. So we ordered our food, and a durian pancake! *yumm*.

They serve halal chinese cuisine, and the food was marvellous. Can't wait to go back there and try Durian Tart, Durian Bomb and Durian ABC!

Karaoke

Now that exam's over, I can do all the things I wanted to but was in the midst of exam.boo!

So after much exercising of the vocal chord and going doremifasolatido the whole morning, Sofia, Fara and I went....karaoke-ing! As much as the three of us thought we have voices that could heal the world, nothing beats the signs from God. Right before we picked up the microphone, it rained cats and bloody dogs. Great *slaps forehead*.

The beauty of karaoke-ing in a discreet room is that no one cares if we were singing the sappy-est Malay songs, that none of us, in the real world, would admit knowing every single word by heart.heh.

Britney.Spice Girls.Backstreet Boys.Amy Search.P Ramlee.Mariah Carey etc.

Amazing!!

But OhMyGod how cheesy was it in Malaysia in the 80's. Freaking shoulder pads and side ponytails on every music video.Cheeseball!

"Isabella"

"Rozana" *died*

Oh! We went to MPH because Sofia wanted to get coloured papers. FYI, this dearest friend of mine is colour blind. So yeah, she can't see colours.heh. BUT she wanted to get coloured papers, right? Its sort of like a deaf person trying to pick a song.

Sofia : I want blue, green, red, bright colours.

Fara and I had to pick and mix match papers for her. Seriously, even if we give her white papers, she would not know the difference.hehe. It really is like helping out a little lost hungry girl.

At one point..

*Sofia picks up a glue*

Fara and I : SOFI!!! THAT IS A GLUEEE!!! *panic*
Sofia : Sheeesh people, I'm colour blind, not retarded. I know what glue is.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Now I realise, does she sees all my posts as black and white?creepy! *waves at Sofia*

Review : Skyline

Azrin and I got tickets to a special screening of Skyline. So we took Sofia and Hazren along.

When I first got the invitation, my first thought was it wil be at Wangsa...what?? Wangsa Walk? Swear to god I've never heard it before. I got freaked out because I am super not familiar with that part of the world, and of course, Azrin and I got lost.

23 wrong turns and a million arguments later, we saw it *applause and fireworks*!

Arrived half and hour late, had a quick snack and go for the movie. The theme this time is sky blue clothes, with face red-painted. I did'nt paint my face red, instead just opt for red-ish make up, which you can barely see anyway.heh.

So, 15 minutes into the movie, party here, laughter there and suddenly "booom" it is suddenly at a scene of shooting and aline-ny. Then main characters were having their sort of last kiss (like the movie was going to end)

Me : What is going on here?is that it??
Sofia : Maybe that is the whole point of screening, first 15 minutes, last 15 minutes.
Me : ................... but I still hae tons of popcorn.

20 minutes later... "Day Three"

20 minutes after... "Day Two"
30 minutes later...suddenly everyone dies and and the main character, Jarrod became an alien.

*cricket sound*
"What the hell is going on"

By the way, Jarrod died in 3 different scenes, in 3 different days.

Almost everyone in the cinema went "huh", "what??". Its either the editor was high when editing the movie, or they played it in sort of a wrong sequencing. If that was how the movie was suppose to be, than it was a really bad movie.

If you guys watch this movie (premieres Thursday), let me know if you guys understand the movie or not? Tell me if it is screwed too ok?

OMG

Azrin asked me for pictures of me with my make up creations.
God knows what creepy, stalker-ish, perv-ish thing he has up his sleeve.

So I searched deep into ages ago of "My Pictures"...

...and found these!

Now, before y'all start making judgements, in my defense, I was a teenager experimenting new, girly stuff.

OMG, here you go...... *run*

HAHAHAHAHA What is wrong with me, dude!

*hides under bed for a good week*

Ok, ok, I'll let you make me joke-of-the-week. Laugh all you want. sobs.

This is why I need to go for a make-up course!

al-fatihah

On Friday night, Azrin and I watched an awesome Malay movie- Magika. Sort of like Malaysian version of Alice in Wonderland. All I could say is their graphics was beautiful. Why? Because I did not get to finish watching the movie.

An hour into the movie, I got many missed call from family members. I stepped out of the cinema and gave Dad a call, only to find out that an uncle passed away a few minutes before. I broke down and cried while walking around KLCC to the car. People probably thought I had an abusive boyfriend that just beat the crap out of me.

Went home, did some prayers, and packed up to head to Johor Bharu in the morning.

Saturday morning, Azrin picked me up at 5 a.m (I got to sleep for only 2 hours), picked my cousins up and head to JB. We reached just in time for the funeral.

After everything was settled, had a good rest and at about 9 p.m, Azrin and I head back to KL. Reached here at midnight. Tired as hell now. Now I have to study like mad, despite the swollen eyes (damn back-to-back papers).

Here's to a man with a great sense of humour, that have never failed to put a smile and laughter on everyone's face, even during his battle with Esofagus Cancer, Syed Mustaffa Syed Mohamed.

al-fatihah.

To Sharifah Shafiqah, Sharifah Shakila and Syed Abdullah, be strong ok! *love*

I want to watch second half of the movie though.

A McQ

I'm all about fun and eccentric fashion (explains my love for Betsey Johnson). Another designer that does eccentric with great style and class was Alexander McQueen.

The late AMQ was a genius!! His designs was very "emo-fierce-i-hate-the-world" kind, translated into gorgeous high fashion. Now, that is inspiration, I tell you. Because if I were to be angry and design clothes, it would probably be black with gush of blood and knives sticking out of the sleeves (yeah, no so much of a designer mind I have)

Even his runway models always look angry. In a sexy kind of way.

Paris Fashion Week collection :

I save the best, for last!!
My favourite :
Omg, could you die looking at that black dress? *died* I just realised I will always pick a black dress as my favourite, and how I'm super attracted to black dresses, but ironically, I don't own one black dress.Weird.

Why oh why did he commit suicide?
Anyway, did y'all see the gorgeous, gorgeous fireworks yesterday?? To all my Hindu friends, Happy Diwali!

Now let's put on our brightest saree, and hit some houses for murukus and mutton *droool*

MIFW

Yes, my biggest, awesomest, whoopiest dream is to be in the front row, in between Rihanna and J.Lo, across from Rachel Zoe at any show (seriously, any show) at Paris Fashion Week. Ok, NYFW is fine too. Heck, I'll learn to speak Italian in a week to go to Milan FW *died*.

Even looking at runway photos of these FW gets me super excited, can you just imagine being there, one hand stretch away from the models *grin*.

Even KLFW or MIFW, I have never been to *sobs*. I've seen fabulous, couture-covered celebrities walking the red carpet looking like a million dollars on magazines, and here I am at home, sipping coffee playing "spot-the-clutch".

Sad, I know.

What if I get a chance to go to MIFW (Malaysia International Fashion Week)??

That would be.... Awefabulousexcitedamazingsome!!! *bounces of excitement*

....but what would I wear? Oh, another reason to shop!!. Who cares about exams anymore at this point right *flips hair*?

Probably would go with long, black, elegant, classy dress. Like these ones :

Izyan's Engagement

Her biggest day to date arrived!

After weeks of her dragging me here and there, and after one wrong location, a few "almost got into an accident" moment, 50 traffic jams, and a million laughs together, her engagement ceremony was done beautifully.

When I stepped into her house, ohmygod it was so pink!everywhere! From buffet table to little little pink details all over the house.

..and than there is the pelamin.

Gorfreakinggeous!

After the men were done negotiating and agreed on the wedding date and what not, the future bride came down in her sparkling, shiny, flawless, over-the-top dress for the "ring" ceremony.

Of course, the male's entourage came bearing gifts. and we returned their favours.heh.

From the groom's family..

From the bride..

Syauqi has officially put the ring on it.Sort of. Well, his mom put the ring on it.

So again, congratulations Kak Yan!! This girl who use to watch Beauty and the Beast with me when we were little, is now someone's fiancee.sobs.

Of course, everyone I knew asked me the same question..

"When is your turn??"

Me : Next week.

Crooked House

I am no architect, but I think I know a great looking building when I see one. I like to look at the unique-ness of buildings, especially when travelling overseas. Traditional buildings or houses are gorgeous as it represents an identity and culture of a country (like how the Japanese looks like they sleep in their closet).

As much as modern designs are pretty, it just makes buildings around the world look very similiar- tall and shiny.

One day, I would like to design my own house from scratch. Knowing me, it would probably be rainbow-coloured and windows made of cotton candy.heh.

My inspiration :

1. Nautilus House, Mexico

2. Ripley's Building, Canada.
3. Mammy's Cupboard, US.

4. Wonderworks, US

5. The Crooked House, Poland.

Omg, I love the crooked house! How can a person not be dizzy just by looking at it. Clearly, they had a big pre-party and the architect and contractors were too drunk when they started building the house.

Oh how super cool would you be to have an upside down house?? SO FREAKING COOL!

I want an upsidedowncrooked house!
