Twenty Seven

Turned 27 last month. Yes, I am only 27 and Azrin is two years older than me. Just putting it out there..haih.

I was not really in a good mood on my birthday this year, no idea why. Ended up just staying at home. Only for the next few days, my celebrating mood came and the food fest began.

First up, my birthday date with Azrin at my favourite favourite favourite Japanese restaurant in the world. Seriously, nothing in Japan can beat this. To me la. Both of us did'nt even have to sit and discuss where to go eat what not, just a simple "Jom" or "Let's go" on special dates...we would know where.

"I bet if we were crazy rich, you would bring Bentencho to come eat Kampachi everyday. Two salmon please, raw for me, cooked for my cat. Maybe you two pakai matching baju also" -Azrin

Kenyang birthday girl.

Secondly, it was pretty quiet in my family group whatsapp a few days prior, so I kinda suspected something but I thought let's just play along. Besides, for every birthday for everyone in my family, we get a surprise. It would be a surprise to not get a surprise...get it?

As I was reaching Daddy's house (Azrin and I drove separately there *rolls eyes*), The whole neighbourhood was dark *crickets*

"Wah whole neighbourhood surprising me ke? Maybe got fireworks" I thought.

Went into the house, and stepmom, daddy and cousins saying "Surprise" not so excitedly.

I was laughing like crazy, apparently the power blackout happened 5 minutes before I got there. Lols.

"Candle light birthday party la ni? Hahahaha"
"Birthday girl here already, I think we can switch on the lights, no? Hahahahah"

Really fun, even when all of us don't really know if we have Mee Kari or Laksa Johor in our bowl for more than an hour.

Lastly since, my birthday dinner with the girls was postponed (still waiting, ladies), I had a few drinks here and there as a mini celebration.

Sarah and Rais took me out for cake because she thought she was going to pop soon, and won't be able to make it to my dinner.

Seriously, huge! I kept poking her tummy till she went 'ouch!'. Amazing. My magic fingers, because right after our tea session, her water broke. Must be all the poking hehe.

With Sofia, went for a quick short dinner after work.

Thank you everybody!
