Dad's 63rd

Daddy's 63rd birthday (if you were to meet him anywhere, please tell him he looks 43 -___-') a couple of weeks ago so we planned a little birthday dinner for him with his favourite food - Seafood.

We picked red as our theme colour but when I reached the place, the first thing Abang said was "You guys could at least pick any colour that is not similiar to the chair".

Birthday boy came, we all ate our feelings to the point where we can't move after and passed Daddy his presents. Every year I can go crazy trying to figure out what to buy for him. When I asked stepmom, she said he wants clothes. Clothes?! Coming from a guy who have 2 rooms full of clothes and spends most of his time just sitting at home in his kain pelikat. So most of us got him..clothes. I must say the sweetest present was the one that Shafiqah gave to him.

*wipes tears*

He was opening his present from stepmom..

Dad : You guys guess what it is
Me : Baju!
Abang : Car!
Azrin : Teddy Bear!
Dad : Nope. My favouritest thing in the world.

All together : Lampu!

My super manly father, guys.

We took a group photo outside in front of a mirror and after that we were trying to figure out who's finger is that on the left. Scary.

"Aku dah cakap dah jangan ambik gambar depan cermin. Aku dah cakap dah" -Abang

Happy Birthday! Next year I get you big big big big lampu yeah?

Balik Kampung

I got kinda jealous when I see people having fun journey balik kampung especially when we have all sorts of holidays now. Friends taking trains or buses back to their hometown. I used to either go back to Kedah or Johor but now since my brother/SIL/father/stepmom all live in the same state, when I "balik kampung", I usually reach the destination before one the end of one raya song.

Since tomorrow is Hari Raya Haji, I wanted to have my "balik kampung" journey, so Azrin dragged me.....

....back to my Daddy's house! Hehehehe.

Oh well, at least we were in a train.

I was so excited, Azrin called me jakun. Ish.

Even Daddy was excited, because I told him I will call him to come and get us once we reach the station, but when I whatsapp him "5 stops away", his reply was

"I am already here"

Hmm.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha!

Skypark

Helena and Ashwin were back for a little while so we had the chance to go double dating for a few times before they flew back to Moscow.

The last time we went out, I asked Helena to pick a place and she insisted on this One City place and I thought that was random and fishy of her. We had dinner and she said she picked that place because she wanted to show/bring Azrin and I something.

Hmm.

I couldn't wait for surprises so I was quietly googling what was available there and of course she saw what I was doing...

"Ok lah, the surprise is more for Ajin and Ashwin I'm sure. Not for you, Sha. There is a skypark upstairs"

Azrin was already sweating. Haha.

We went up after dinner (we should have gone before dinner so that the food won't come out for the boys), it was only 10th or 11th floor or something. The place is pretty cool - wide space to chill, amazing view, pretty romantic (if your boyfriend/husband is not afraid of heights) and some parts of the floor are made of glass and transparent and you can see all the way down. Amazing!

Ashwin and Azrin stood at the side trying not to move at all while Helena and I were trying hard to convince them that it is safe and we should all walk to the middle of the park. Even some makciks were who were walking on it were looking at them weirdly. Shame.

At last, told them to close their eyes, and the girls held both their hands to walk towards the glass floor. Azrin's hands were sweating like cray. When we in the middle of the skypark, we asked them to open their eyes and Helena and I ran away from them. The boys froze, shivering and I swear they were holding on to each other. Hilarious.

Took a few pictures, and the girls had to guide them back to the "safe" part of the park.

Haih.

Uber Virgins

Crazy week I must say, with Azrin falling sick making a couple trips to the hospital and his car breaking down with a few trips to the workshops, now with a few thousand bucks happily flew out the window...we shall eat maggi for the rest of the month yeah? Hehe.

So this morning we had to send his car to the workshop again (when it just got out of the workshop yesterday -___-') and we thought we should just keep the car there until everything is fixed.

One problem : We were stranded at the workshop with no car.

Solution : Call Daddy to pinjam one of his car.

His answer : SIL is pinjam-ing because her car is rosak too.

Called SIL and she said we can pick it up at their house and since it is only 10 minutes away, I should just uber our way there.

Err. Azrin and I have never used this uber thingy.

So there we were, two uber virgins sitting by the roadside trying to download, register and figure out everything....and after half an hour our uber came. Yay! Success!

In the car, after a while I thought he was not going the correct way and suddenly "You have reached your destination".

*crickets*

Got out of the car in the middle of nowhere and apparently SIL gave a shorter version of her address. Tried to get another uber (which took quite long to figure everything out again. I know, Azrin and I are not so "cepat" with these things).

That uber dude had to call me a few times to find us..

Him : Err Hi Sharifah, where exactly are u?
Me : I have no idea.

Thank god the uber guy was friendly and helpful. Even he said "You guys don't use often, don't you?"

...but at last, we reached Abang's house. TTDI to Kota Damansara took us more than 1 hour. Haih.

Pika

Been a long long week, working last Saturday and Sunday, thought of having a good early rest this Friday night until my lovely husband said "B, jom tangkap Pikachu"

-_____-'

Sayang punya pasal.

You see, a few days after the two of us got caught in this whole Pokemon Go crazy-ness, I got a Pikachu while I was in the car and I screamed til i kinda lost my voice. Of course, kiasu Azrin got super jealous and Pikachu has been his aim since then.

He's been searching for that yellow thing everywhere while I show it to him with a cheeky smile on my face. Kih kih.

So after many many discussions with his colleagues, he figured out locations with many Pikas (so this is what they do in banks)

In the middle of the night, we went to a big, dark taman. Suprisingly, it was more happening than Selena Gomez' concert!!

Everyone was holding a phone and walking around like a zombie. Sometimes everyone will run to the same place at the same time (of course in real life it is just a bench. Or a tree)

All for this.

Haih.

Trust me, there were many aunties and uncles too. Suprisingly they ran faster than us younger bunch. Grr.

Tragedi Hamlet

Yesterday was the opening night of our "yang ditunggu-tinggu" Tragedi Hamlet and of course I will drag Azrin and come to support everybody's hardwork.

(also Faridah asked a couple of times yesterday "Coming tonight?*eyebrow raised*")

Shakespeare...in BM. Different. Interesting.

Unlike Azrin, I did not know what Hamlet was about so it was good to know the whole story..but I knew Azrin's planned to tell me the ending before it ended. Haih.

You guys want to know?

Come watch! Y'all still have tonight up to Sunday. Tickets for RM45/RM35.

Mari!

Support

Last Friday klpac had a teeny event in klcc so of course some of us went to show our support. I went with Nurul and Zee, picked Azrin on the way (sibuk only!). We went quite early to avoid the traffic, so decided to chill at a cafe and have a slice of cake and play some...game!

"Samantha from Sex and the City"

"Sex"

"Pee standing up"

-_______-"

After we finished with the game, we went to the event. Aesop, one of our sponsors decided to distribute part of that day's sales to us so there were we trying to attract people to come and buy things. Hee!

See, so many people right? *pats back*

Thank you thank you *bows*

Hehe.

Peer Pressure

I have seen many people uploading these videos of them trying these spicy korean noodles whatnot on social media up to the point where they cry and scream because it is too spicy, so I told Azrin about it one day while we were stuck in traffic and he's respond was "Pfft, how hot can it be? Sure nothing for me".

Berlagak. Both Azrin and I are the kind of people who can't be challenged so he did a U-turn and we went and look for this darn noodles (which I think Azrin challenged himself, because I did'nt say anything).

Got them, went home and prepare them. I read that you will need milk to kill the spicy-ness, but I realised I forgot the milk after my first bite. Haih.

Happy faces before.

Almost pengsan after. Azrin was doing not too bad. He just couldn't hear at one point. Me? Tears were coming down non-stop but I think that everything is in the head so I focused to one thing, imagined that I just had a bar of chocolate, zone myself out n boom! Spicyness gone. Yes, that's how I handle things. Haha. I must say, despite the crazy spicyness and all, that noodle is yummy and both Azrin and I are kinda addicted to it now. Good luck to our tummy.

Went to work and convinced my two colleagues to try it...

See how we "rebus" the noodle. Hahahahah.

Nurul went crazy but Zee's statement was "not as spicy as I expected". Fuh..hebat!! Even so, needed milk and ice cream to kill the spicyness. Haha.

You guys should try.

King of Fruits

When an uncle whatsapp you with a "Mai rumah amek derian", it just shows the love an uncle has for a niece, and he knows his niece loves durian like cray!

So my reply was:

"Sat, nak kumpul tupperware lepaih tu mai"

Hish. Tak malu betul. Kinda dark, but that's a picture of me holding as many tupperwares as I could standing infront of my uncle's house with a big smile on my face because I know he won't let me go home while those things in my arms are not full. Oh happyness!

Azrin and I sat. He peeled all types of durians for us- sweet ones, creamy ones, bitter ones, soft ones, hard ones. Seriously, we went crazy! Done with durians, there were mangosteens, pulasans and rambutans. Where else can you go beraya and have free flow of durians served? *hugs Paklang and Maklang*

Filled our tupperwares up (hehe!) and brought home a load of durians with us.

Mak lang : Dila tak masak, sure peti ais kosong kan? Boleh simpan semua ni..

Sad, but super true! Hahaha.

Azrin : B, We are going to be a super healthy couple. Fruits for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sayang PakLang, MakLang *kisses*

Lalat's Makan-Makan

Yesterday Sarah invited us for her little gathering (open house) and of course I wouldn't miss it for the world. Rushed there from work because I am super confident the food she was gonna serve was yummy!

Was excited to play with Sofia and Sarah's babies. Azrin was already planning on kidnapping both
-_____-'

Sarah served this yummy beryani that when she asked Sofia and I if we wanted to bring home some, I helped myself in her kitchen taking everything that could fit mine and Azrin's tummy for dinner, tomorrow's breakfast and lunch.

Sofia and I : Pheeewwww no need to cook *dance*

Ok selfie time.

Took a couple of explainations to tell some people that I am not Sofia and Sofia is not me. Reminds us like back to our uni days, kan Sofi? Lol.

Super fun. Thanks for having us, Sarah! Of course...

Today.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAKCIK!!!!!!! *hugs n kisses*
