Two Birthdays In A Day

Around this time of the year, it will be my time to celebrate the birthday of my two favourite Sofias. So this year I had to attend their celebration, both on the same day.

It was Little Sofia's birthday lunch first, so I was excited to see her, chase and squeeze her chubby cheeks. Hehe. It was also her cousin's birthday so 2 little girls' birthday.

One of the birthday girl got a makeup set for her present, so they had a make-up corner for the rest of the day.

"Nanti jadi macam Joker pulak" -Abang

So. Cute.

Happy Birthday Fa! Yes, Bobo and I both thought you were turning 6 and we were trying to proof your father wrong till we had to stalk your parents' facebook to see what year they went for their honeymoon (when you're older you'll understand why we had to hunt for that date)...so yeah, Happy 6th 5th Birthday Fa!!

At night it was Big Sofia's birthday dinner. Had to rush to Subang after work and only realised that I forgot to buy a birthday cake as we were entering the restaurant. Ran around looking for a cake shop and managed to get a cake for Sophie!

Fun dinner time. Chatting away. Little Lilly being obsessed with my boobs even after telling her many times that if she is thirsty, there's nothing there.

"Zouk la jom malam ni"
"Lilly's 1st birthday kita buat sana la jom"

-___-'

Happy Birthday Po! I'm expecting sushi dinner end of this month ya. Happy planning :)

Wedding

Hubby have been yapping away asking me to blog about our wedding last year. It is going to be our one year anniversary soon and here I am, procrastinating to blog. Haih, very shy lah *blush*.

So of course there were a few dramas here and there (I'm sure there are no smooth-planning weddings), till at one point my FB status was "Sayang, let's just off our phones and fly off to our honeymoon" a few days before the wedding.

Thank god Daddy does not have a FB account. Phewwww.

So the morning of our wedding, was our rehearsal with everyone. To be honest, I really didn't care who was going to be doing what, who was going to stand where...I just wanted to get it over and done with. I hoped that I could have fun that night, no dramas, end of wedding.

A few hours before the wedding, we reached the place to get ready with hair, make-up what not (dang, wedding make-up takes a loooong time). After hours, Azrin and I was excited to start the wedding and to go see everyone. A bit delayed (quite normal, I guess), and at last.....

Ok lah, enough pictures hehehe.

Honestly, Azrin and I had so much fun that night, we appreciate the fact that our friends, families, colleagues, ex-colleagues, schoolmates, exboyfriends/exgirlfriends (ngehehehe, don't worry, we cool!) came to celebrate our big day with us.

We apologize for any 'terkurang' and 'tersilap' on that night. Of course our wedding are not those grand grand ones so hope everything was fine on our small reception.

We would also like to thank everyone who helped. Azrin's aunties and uncles who helped with the planning and decorating, Azrin's cousins who helped perform amazingly (Zuleikha sang amazingly and Abbas, Laila and their friends played the band wonderfully). Also, thank you to my Dad, Stepmom, Abang and SIL for helping throughout the wedding (yes, that tall lady who sang is my Stepmom *proud*). Aunties, uncles, cousins, thank you so much for helping. Terima Kasih.

For those who came, thank you for attending our wedding. Love!

Visit

She was my family's helper for about 30 years. Now that my Daddy and stepmom have moved further, she had to quit because she can't ride her bicycle two hours away just to clean the house, no? She had been working with us since before I was born so yes, I did grow up with her.

Azrin was on the phone with her son one day and she grabbed the phone from her son and shouted "Lalaaaaa! Lalaaaa!"

Yes, she is the only person who calls me Lala. So I grabbed the phone from Azrin and talked to her. Within minutes, I was chilling in her house. Hehe.

She was so sad she did'nt have any muruku for me (best muruku ever!). We were gossiping and she was gonna cry at one point, that's when I told Azrin we should go now. You see, even my Daddy have never pukul me my whole life...but she...? Everytime I ate with my hand wrongly...definitely kena once on my hand, at one point I would prefer to eat with fork and spoon in front of her -___-"

Love.

Creativity Test

Two new interns started working today so of course I was trying to make their first day as fun as possible. Teehee.

Put them together with the other two interns, gave them a whole stack of magazines...

"Do something creative with it or you will fail your internship"

Well, they all laughed at my statement so clearly I have to be more garang. Haih.

From smiley face to KLCC, to klpac's logo, they were trying to do all sorts of images and ended up with LAM - Living Arts Magazine

"Haih, I told you earlier do LAM, don't want to listen. Habislah semua fail internship nanti".

Hehehehe as I'm writing this, now I kinda know why they like to put on earphones and listen to songs -___-"

Yay!!

So what's this LAM for?

Yes collect 10 headers of different LAMs and you'll get 2 free tickets for our internal show. Remember, only our shows ya!

Four Years

Valentine's Day today, many couples walking around holding hands, smiling, love everywhere in the air. When I bought flowers, people around must have thought "Aww such a sweet girl buying flowers for her boyfriend/husband (or both..kidding!)".

Nope. Just buying flowers for Mommy.

Four years ago, today, Mommy passed away so I usually spend my Valentine morning visiting Mommy's kubur, and since Azrin's late father's kubur is a few steps away from Mommy, we will both visit both of them together every year (keep forgetting to buy flowers a few days earlier before the price hike up triple the normal price -__-')

Can't believe its been four years, feels like yesterday. So many things I wish I can tell her, share with her. It's ok, I pray for her everyday, hope she is well there. As for Azrin's Dad, I did not get to meet him but from all the stories I've heard from Azrin and his family, sounds like an amazing amazing man. One day I'll get to meet him, Insyaallah.

Azrin and I always wondered if my mommy and his daddy would "lepak" together and talk about us since they are so close to each other..hehehe.

Love love to you, Mama and Babah.

Al-fatihah.

Fortune Cookie

Stepmom have been announcing how she's been craving for dimsum and since her husband don't eat them, no dimsums since she got married.

Luckily she have one amazing stepdaughter (haha!) who whatsapped her with a "jom dim sum..if abah don't like he can stay at home". Abang and SIL invited came along so of course Daddy followed since it was one of his few times to see his kids *evil smile*.

My first time in Dolly Dimsum. Quite good. Nice place. Not so good for Daddy, he was barely eating anything. Sure he tapau-ed Nasi Kandar on the way home. Haih.

As we were paying the bill, they gave us all fortune cookies!

Mine?

Amin.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Haiya..this year cannot get angpow already!

Mr. Chef

All this while, Azrin told me that he can't cook, can't fry egg, not so sure to masak nasi etc etc..

I was working late on Saturday, came back and there was Nasi Tomato on the table.

"Who are you and what did you do to my husband?!"

Shocking! My first thought was he went to buy them but when I looked at the kitchen...it was turning upside down, plus pots and pans were all over the apartment. I was going to pengsan. Haha. So sweet of him..but in my head "who's gonna clean the place?".

Azrin's Nasi Tomato.

It even tastes like nasi tomato! Haha ok ok I'll stop looking down on him his cooking and start believing in him. Really yummy though! Impressive! Where else to find a husband like this? Thanks baby!

Maybe its his way to tell me to start cooking for him. Teehee.

Lesson number 1 - go to stepmom and learn how to cook asam pedas.

Easier - tapau asam pedas from stepmom and heat up for husband everyday. Settle!

Wedding Fever

Wife duty, had to accompany dear husband to two of his cousins' weddings a couple of weeks ago. Actually he didn't really have to ask, I was more than excited to go and celebrate the gorgeous bride and groom..not forgetting delicious food! Hehe.

Athiya & Maurice

Fun, laid back wedding. Everything so pretty. Bride and groom super cantik and matching! It was really really fun.

Not so romantic for me because I sat with Sarah and not Azrin the whole time -___-"

Had to keep an eye on her and not leave my food unattanded because super pregnant Sarah was hungry all the time. Tsk tsk.

Zaiza & Sofia

Another cousin of Azrin (the groom) got married and it was quite a big wedding! Yummy food too.

Love love attending weddings, where everyone is happy and meeting family members, food, everyone's looking pretty. Fun!

...still havn't blog about a wedding yea...*blush*

Hehe. Soon.

Loving Dad

Although I'm all grown up, married and all, I still have that teeny fear when it comes to Daddy. Like how when I was in college and maybe out partying  studying, I knew I was in trouble when the phone rings and the word Daddy appears on the screen. Even when he just wanted to ask if I have enough money. Haha.

So I was at work a couple of days ago and he called. Face went pale.

*crap...what have I done wrong?*

Me : Err..He-lo?
Him : Adik!!
Me : *shit* I'm at work, busy..why? (trying to keep any arguments short when I was actually going for lunch hehe)
Him : Why you tak call me for the past few days?
Me : -________-' Err...
Him : Tak come over to visit me pun (I went to see him a couple of days ago). You ok? Everything ok? Ubat cukup? Bila nak datang?
Me : Hahaha tu la..go live far far away lagi. Plus, mak tiri tak cook, Azrin and I tak datang la..gahahah!
Him : Oh like that eh? What you want to eat?
Me : Asam pedas! Thanks.
Him : Ok. Call me when you're coming.
Me : Once a month only.
Him : Don't mengada! Ok love you! Jangan tinggal sembahyang.
Me : Love you. Bye.

We would have that kinda call every few days but last week was a bit more often because my brother went for a holiday so he can only kacau me.

Me + sarcasm = normal. If I'm not sacarstic one day, he would call the ustaz to check on me, trust me. Deep down he knows I am a anak manja. Stubborn, but manja.

Ok, monday blues. Quite bored. Bye!

Eight

It was me and Azrin's 8th anniversary of being together. Yes we have our wedding anniversary to celebrate too but we have been celebrating this one for 8 years and we think it has more...meaning.

We planned to go out for dinner and he wanted to bring me to my favourite fancy japanese restaurant but we both just got back from work, I looked at him and myself and I was too tired to change, dress up and put make up on what not so I said why not we just look for a new chill out place, have dinner and relax.

Pheww.

Cool place. We were the only ones there so yay..its like we booked the whole place for our anniversary!

Nice food. The waiter recommended this drink to me (yes, not hard to sell me something especially food/drink).

It came and I was like whaaaaa? Cotton candy?! Genius me thought I was suppose to dip the cotton candy and eat.

Cotton candy + heat from hot chocolate = Melts on the way to mouth

Haih, you're suppose put the cotton candy in the hot chocolate! Ngeh, I ended up finishing most of the cotton candy and gave Azrin the hot chocolate.

I was waiting for this particular item since we were ordering (again, recommended by waiter).

Azrin : B, ask them to send this first la. We eat this dulu.
Me : Hep! Sabar lah. Dessert. Last.

Nasi Lemak Cheesecake! So cool right?

I was scared to eat.

Me : B, you eat first
Azrin : *takes a bite* hmmm
Me : *cringe* no?
Azrin : taste like nasi lemak.

-_____-"

It does taste like nasi lemak..and cheesecake. Weird, but not too bad. You'll taste sweet and creamy..and all of a sudden spicy and there will be that crunchy-ness of the anchovy. Hard to explain. Very different.

"We should go cari mee kari spongecake after this"

Happy Anniversary B!!

Pink Pink

Happy New Year everyone! While everyone was partying it up with fireworks an all on new year, I was snoring away in dreamland. Haih.

Started my year with seeing my girls and trust me, planning a night out for dinner with three other girls...it was like planning a wedding! We had dinner at a nostalgic place where we spent almost single day back in our college days.

Pink! in Sunway. We got kinda emotional when we stepped in - the waitress remembered us and was shocked to see us....even the owner of the shop remembered us. Awww. Felt so appreciated haha! You see, Pink was where we would lepak all the time (we were too lazy to go to Pyramid) from morning till night - gossip, play cards, copy assignments. My parents would think their lovely daughter was studying hard till late night at the library...but yeah...

Sorry!

Pink is still the same as back then but Sunway is so different now! I mean the difficulty to find parking is still the same as 10 years ago, but everything else...omg!

By 9pm I was getting as sleepy as Little Lilly. Last time we were planning what to do for that night at 9pm, now Little Lilly was probably wondering why Aunty Shepie is yawning away and everyone needs to go home and prepare for work the next day. Lol.

"Eh the food....err....now not so lah"

"No, we were just a bunch of hungry girls back then"
