Mr. Chef

All this while, Azrin told me that he can't cook, can't fry egg, not so sure to masak nasi etc etc..

I was working late on Saturday, came back and there was Nasi Tomato on the table.

"Who are you and what did you do to my husband?!"

Shocking! My first thought was he went to buy them but when I looked at the kitchen...it was turning upside down, plus pots and pans were all over the apartment. I was going to pengsan. Haha. So sweet of him..but in my head "who's gonna clean the place?".

Azrin's Nasi Tomato.

It even tastes like nasi tomato! Haha ok ok I'll stop looking down on him his cooking and start believing in him. Really yummy though! Impressive! Where else to find a husband like this? Thanks baby!

Maybe its his way to tell me to start cooking for him. Teehee.

Lesson number 1 - go to stepmom and learn how to cook asam pedas.

Easier - tapau asam pedas from stepmom and heat up for husband everyday. Settle!

Wedding Fever

Wife duty, had to accompany dear husband to two of his cousins' weddings a couple of weeks ago. Actually he didn't really have to ask, I was more than excited to go and celebrate the gorgeous bride and groom..not forgetting delicious food! Hehe.

Athiya & Maurice

Fun, laid back wedding. Everything so pretty. Bride and groom super cantik and matching! It was really really fun.

Not so romantic for me because I sat with Sarah and not Azrin the whole time -___-"

Had to keep an eye on her and not leave my food unattanded because super pregnant Sarah was hungry all the time. Tsk tsk.

Zaiza & Sofia

Another cousin of Azrin (the groom) got married and it was quite a big wedding! Yummy food too.

Love love attending weddings, where everyone is happy and meeting family members, food, everyone's looking pretty. Fun!

...still havn't blog about a wedding yea...*blush*

Hehe. Soon.

Loving Dad

Although I'm all grown up, married and all, I still have that teeny fear when it comes to Daddy. Like how when I was in college and maybe out partying  studying, I knew I was in trouble when the phone rings and the word Daddy appears on the screen. Even when he just wanted to ask if I have enough money. Haha.

So I was at work a couple of days ago and he called. Face went pale.

*crap...what have I done wrong?*

Me : Err..He-lo?
Him : Adik!!
Me : *shit* I'm at work, busy..why? (trying to keep any arguments short when I was actually going for lunch hehe)
Him : Why you tak call me for the past few days?
Me : -________-' Err...
Him : Tak come over to visit me pun (I went to see him a couple of days ago). You ok? Everything ok? Ubat cukup? Bila nak datang?
Me : Hahaha tu la..go live far far away lagi. Plus, mak tiri tak cook, Azrin and I tak datang la..gahahah!
Him : Oh like that eh? What you want to eat?
Me : Asam pedas! Thanks.
Him : Ok. Call me when you're coming.
Me : Once a month only.
Him : Don't mengada! Ok love you! Jangan tinggal sembahyang.
Me : Love you. Bye.

We would have that kinda call every few days but last week was a bit more often because my brother went for a holiday so he can only kacau me.

Me + sarcasm = normal. If I'm not sacarstic one day, he would call the ustaz to check on me, trust me. Deep down he knows I am a anak manja. Stubborn, but manja.

Ok, monday blues. Quite bored. Bye!

Eight

It was me and Azrin's 8th anniversary of being together. Yes we have our wedding anniversary to celebrate too but we have been celebrating this one for 8 years and we think it has more...meaning.

We planned to go out for dinner and he wanted to bring me to my favourite fancy japanese restaurant but we both just got back from work, I looked at him and myself and I was too tired to change, dress up and put make up on what not so I said why not we just look for a new chill out place, have dinner and relax.

Pheww.

Cool place. We were the only ones there so yay..its like we booked the whole place for our anniversary!

Nice food. The waiter recommended this drink to me (yes, not hard to sell me something especially food/drink).

It came and I was like whaaaaa? Cotton candy?! Genius me thought I was suppose to dip the cotton candy and eat.

Cotton candy + heat from hot chocolate = Melts on the way to mouth

Haih, you're suppose put the cotton candy in the hot chocolate! Ngeh, I ended up finishing most of the cotton candy and gave Azrin the hot chocolate.

I was waiting for this particular item since we were ordering (again, recommended by waiter).

Azrin : B, ask them to send this first la. We eat this dulu.
Me : Hep! Sabar lah. Dessert. Last.

Nasi Lemak Cheesecake! So cool right?

I was scared to eat.

Me : B, you eat first
Azrin : *takes a bite* hmmm
Me : *cringe* no?
Azrin : taste like nasi lemak.

-_____-"

It does taste like nasi lemak..and cheesecake. Weird, but not too bad. You'll taste sweet and creamy..and all of a sudden spicy and there will be that crunchy-ness of the anchovy. Hard to explain. Very different.

"We should go cari mee kari spongecake after this"

Happy Anniversary B!!

Pink Pink

Happy New Year everyone! While everyone was partying it up with fireworks an all on new year, I was snoring away in dreamland. Haih.

Started my year with seeing my girls and trust me, planning a night out for dinner with three other girls...it was like planning a wedding! We had dinner at a nostalgic place where we spent almost single day back in our college days.

Pink! in Sunway. We got kinda emotional when we stepped in - the waitress remembered us and was shocked to see us....even the owner of the shop remembered us. Awww. Felt so appreciated haha! You see, Pink was where we would lepak all the time (we were too lazy to go to Pyramid) from morning till night - gossip, play cards, copy assignments. My parents would think their lovely daughter was studying hard till late night at the library...but yeah...

Sorry!

Pink is still the same as back then but Sunway is so different now! I mean the difficulty to find parking is still the same as 10 years ago, but everything else...omg!

By 9pm I was getting as sleepy as Little Lilly. Last time we were planning what to do for that night at 9pm, now Little Lilly was probably wondering why Aunty Shepie is yawning away and everyone needs to go home and prepare for work the next day. Lol.

"Eh the food....err....now not so lah"

"No, we were just a bunch of hungry girls back then"

Osaka Castle

Probably the last post for this year :)

One more place on every 'must-go' list we researched is Osaka Castle so we thought 'Ohhh must be something amazing!' so off we go

We reached the place and I don't see no castle anywhere *crickets*

Thereeee?? -____-' that looks far, but Azrin made me walk up to the castle.

It was a long way up. Walk, walk, stairs, walk, walk.

Oh half way there. Keep climbing up. They better be giving free Chanel bags up there.

......almost there...

At this point I was yapping away and Azrin was all the way in front. See, he was up there and I was almost giving up.

We reached the top and that place we were aiming for from the bottom is not even the castle! say-whaaaaa?

"B, kat depan sana is the castle. Gotta walk a bit more hehe"

*smoke coming out of ears*

Yes we got to the castle, it was dark by the time we reached up there. I was more interested in the stalls selling snacks. Sat and chilled for a while and in the end we decided not to go in the castle to check it out because we thought what if everything is in Japanese and we can't understand anything at all.

-______-"

Happy New Years everybody!!

Kyoto

From the beginning Azrin and I assigned one day that we would go to Kyoto and spend a day there (because Tokyo was too far and pricey). We heard it was a beautiful traditional place compared to Osaka and Tokyo and yes, very laid back and the people walking around were not running like they're late for school.

As we were walking around enjoying the gorgeous city, we were in this little town that looked like old japanese movies - girls in kimono, old-style houses and I saw something that made me go whaaaaaaatttttt?

I can dress like a Geisha! Memoirs of a Geisha coming right up.

They dressing me up took a lot of time. With the communication barrier and all, I was getting bored. I was trying to start a conversation by asking more about geisha but google would be easier. They did tell me I was becoming a geiko and not a geisha. Still don't know the difference.

After what felt like 4 hours..yay! They rolled us in many layers of clothes and they really made us suck it in till we can't breathe and we can hardly walk. Fuh!

....and taking off the make up and clothes was another round of hell but it was all worth it. Had so much fun!!

Next time must spend a few days in Kyoto.

Around Osaka

Most of the time we were just walking around Osaka enjoying the place, but trying to get from one place to another..quite hard but after a few days, Azrin and I were getting quite familiar with the complicated train tracks.

I think it was on our 3rd day that we did not sesat for the first time and ended up somewhere that does not sound anything like where we were suppose to go (because we have to listen to the train guy's announcement which is in Japanese and try to hear if the location we want to head to is anywhere in his announcement).

"Fuuhh tak sesat lah today! Can move here already"

"Pfft I can apply job at the train station lah"

The next day we sesat again -____-"

Dotonburi

This area is a very busy area especially at night with big colour signboards everywhere. Many places to eat, shop or quite nice to just walk around to see different kinds of people.

Kuromon Market

It is near Dotonburi, and it is sort of their pasar with all sorts of food and is very cheap! Went cray with cheap sashimi there *burp*.

Abeno Harukas

Japan's highest building and we can go all the way up! Toppest floor - on the 60th floor, its 360 degrees top to floor all glass so the view is spectacular. Again I dragged Azrin up to something he's scared of. At first he did not want to go near the glass, but after a while..all good!

The floor below they actually made it into an open deck, so just imagine being about 300m up in an open surrounding. The wind...woahh! Awesome!

This I really recommend.
