Review: KL Zombie

I got a pair of invites to the Premiere Screening of this movie. Means I get to watch it before you people haha!

Well, I'm gonna save you one and a half hour here.

Honestly, I don't like the movie. Maybe because it was 40 minutes delayed. Maybe because throughout the movie there was this "teeeeeet teeeeeeet" sound when they're trying to say something...bad? (not even curses)

The storyline was pretty crap. I mean, suddenly one person turned into a zombie, and after a few hours the whole KL turned into a Zombie-town? Say-whaaaat?

Well, I left the movie about 15 mins before it ended so I don't know the ending. Maybe it was just all a dream haha. Haiyoh, serious lah, I don't know what the motive of the movie is. Some parts were funny, but that's about it. For a movie Zizan's acting in, it is not up to the humor level its suppose to be.

Quite dissapointing.

90 minutes I'll never get back. Haih.

Leading the Blind

Azrin was telling me his journey today and I felt something was...not right

He was heading to KL this afternoon and genius him took the LRT/Monorail/Star (I really don't know which one is which). Of course my Einstein boyfriend took public transportation without doing his research first and ended up texting me every few minutes to ask me to Google.

Types "Public Transport Jalan Raja Laut"

Fail. Nothing made sense to me.

After a while, he stopped texting me so I thought he figured he out himself. Either that or someone kidnapped him haha.

Later during dinner, he told me his experience....

"I was helping this blind lady getting on and off the train...she was heading to work...I was so touched that a blind person was so hardworking while sometimes perfectly healthy people would rather waste their time lepaking....I asked her where she was going, turns out we were heading towards the same direction....and she told me to just follow her since I dont know the way.."

"So the blind led you???"

Oh.

Review: The Conjuring

I had nowhere else to go on the second day of raya, and Daddy's leaving for Johor in the evening so I was bored at home, kinda sick of looking at ketupats.

Azrin's brother told me that The Conjuring is a good movie, because he knows how much I love horror movies. Forced both of them to watch the movie with me. Hehe.

Not a good idea, since I'll be alone at home for the weekend -___-'

Dad: Adik ni dah macam orang dulu-dulu, raya pergi tengok movie

Haha.

I thought the cinema would be empty, but I was surprised to see so many people in baju kurungs holding a bag of popcorn, waiting for their movie. In fact, The Conjuring was quite full.

So this is raya in KL, huh?

The movie was just so-so. Not scary at all, although Azrin was screaming away in the cinema. Storyline, not bad. This whole kena rasuk thing, nothing can beat Malaysian/ Indonesian movies. Just the process of us having our ustaz shoo-ing away ghosts/devil is waaaaaaay more scary than Hollywood movies definitely.

The setting of the movie is very nice, though. Really gives you that creepy feeling.

..also, the doll!! Haiyoh. Cute, but eeeeeeeeeek!

If you have a couple of bucks to spare, go watch it.

Day 1

Woah its already the forth day of Raya, and I'm so sick of having raya food that Azrin and I had McD for breakfast this morning. Haha

Anyway, this is probably the 3rd or 4th Raya I celebrate here in KL and I still find it so boring compared to celebrating it in the kampung.

My Raya Day 1:

Wake up- Shower- Eat- Chill with family- Eat- Take pictures- Eat- Eat- Sleep

Because my relatives (mom and dad's side) all celebrate raya outside KL, so I'm here with Dad, stepmom, brother, SIL, niece, Azrin.

Haih.

Dad+ Stepmom left for Johor on 2nd Raya.

Brother+SIL had a little weekend getaway

Azrin went to his relative's houses

= Me. Alone in my baju kurung, playing Candy Crush with a jar of Kuih Tart.

Oh, but I did go to Sarah's grandparents' house hehe

Selamat Hari Raya. Tomorrow = work *cry*

Till we meet again..

Good morning, guys!

I was a bit emotional this morning on the way to work, with the Raya songs playing continuously on radio and the fact that I missed my sahur and it was only 8.45 am but my stomach was already playing along the raya songs. It was sad. One month have passed by so quickly. It was like, blink blink and poof- one month gone!

Our last day of Ramadhan. No more terawih, no more Pasar Ramadhan, no more buffet buka puasa.

Alhamdulillah, we made it through peacefully.

Insyaallah, we'll meet again in a year.

Hope all of you had a blessed and wonderful Ramadhan.

Anyway, I would like to wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin. My apologies for any wrong doings. Have a great Raya!!

Drive safely when you guys balik kampung please!!

Graduation Buka Puasa

Oh how I miss blogging! Been so busy with work, preparation for raya, baking and everything (haih)

I have'nt even had time to see my friends!

Sofia and I have graduated (at last), and even though I did not attend my graduation ceremony (because my family was too busy for me, sob. Kidding!), our friends meet up for a buka puasa at Ayam Penyet, Sunway. I swear, even for a small get together/dinner, we had to re-schedule a few times. Everyone's so busy! Growing up sucks :(

So sweet of Fara to buy us presents. Ngawhhh *glares at Sarah*

Hahaha.

We all went back to Sofia's for desserts after. Durian Crepe- to die for omg!

Even though I "graduated" 2 years after I started working (seriously VU, pay so much also so kelam kabut), I must say...

"We did it, PO!!!" *high five Sofia*

All those sleepless nights, pretending to have food poisoning for an MC, accidentally wore a short skirt to Islamic Studies and wondered why I failed it (-__-") and skipping a million classes! I did it! I got my degree in Accounting/Finance. Without a calculator *flips hair*

So proud of myself. Now, should I continue my Masters or CPA? Decisions, decisions

Koko Flakes

I've been busy, with raya coming up and stuff (excited!). Well, I've been busy baking, if any of you are asking. Haha.

Baking what you may ask?

These!

At first, I baked my favourite Koko Flakes just for fun (seriously eating it while watching TV-evil!), but now it has become a little raya business for Azrin and I. Alhamdulillah, this is the 3rd year I'm selling the cookies.

To be honest, I sell it just to share what is probably the only thing that I can bake and I find it so yummy. Sweet, gooey, crispy....*gulp*

Yes, I'm an accountant, but I really don't know how to count the costs and whatnot properly, I'm selling it for RM 18 for a balang of 25 pcs. I don't even know if I'm making profit. I hope I do..haha. All those years learning debit credit- no use lah!

Anyway, if y'all want to order, do let me know. RM 18 and I'll probably send to you, FOC. If you're nearby, that is. Haha.

Ok, gotta make more cookies. Toodles!

Ramadhan

All the food, for four boys *shakes head*

This is what happens when we take food ikut nafsu before the azan.

Pfft same with me, lah.

Everyday, I tell myself I'm going to break fast with a few kurma and go pray maghrib first before eating...

But I'm scared people will finish up my Asam Pedas by the time I get back.

The price I have to pay = That feeling of Asam Pedas coming back up and out when I sujud later.

Every. Single. Year.

Anyway, I'm five days late, but Happy Fasting Everyone! May all of you have a wonderful and blessed Ramadhan. Let's stack up our pahala, ey?

A Day Out With Fa

Three days MC, what to do?

Take Little Sofia out!

First stop, The Curve.

Wrong move, because they have that kiddy theme park/indoor playground thing. So it was either hear her cry or put her on that pony thing.

I was getting bored of the same 'Happy Birthday' and 'Old McDonald' song playing over and over, but of course don't seem to bother her.

Second stop, Azrin's office. I must say it one of her favourite place to lepak when she's with me

"Bobo opishh pisshhh adek"

A room full of balloons, Azrin and Ashraf (Azrin's brother). Heaven for Little Pei.

"Fa opisshhh"

Got bakat to be a parent ah?

Super Lady

On saturday I had this unusual pain when I err, urinate. I felt like pee-ing every few seconds, but when I'm in the toilet, only a few drops or nothing comes out. I ignored it at first, but after a couple of hours, it got really uncomfortable.

Seriously, it hurts like *&$#$%^&* when I pee. I actually cried while sitting on the toilet.

I got up and saw blood. Counted my days, thinking positively it might be my period, but nope, not possible. After about 20 minutes I started vomitting.

Ok. Blood, vommit, now it looks familiar.

I didnt know what to do because I was alone, Azrin was in Penang and my father was in JB. Plus, I hate troubling other people because I'm scared people would think of me as a drama queen when nothing is serious. I've had this attitude since I was little. That's why I waited till the last minute to get someone to bring me to the hospital due to my appendicitis (doctor yapped away when I was at the hosp because it was really really bad heh).

Anyway, Superwoman me packed some clothes, grabbed the car keys and a paper bag (just in case I puked on the way) and head to the hospital.

"Urine infection, its pretty bad."

I have zero tolerance in pain, right after that stupid thing was on my hand, I ran out and called Azrin and started crying like a baby. Serious, so sakit okay! And I was alone....so kesian right?

They wanted to tahan me in the hospital, but I went all "hell no, na-uh" on them and promised the doctor and nurses I'll drink lots and lots of water.

Painkillers killed the pain, so I threw my bottle of water away and treated myself with some rootbeer float for tahan-ing the pain.

Hee.

No More Candy

I was happily lying down on my bed, playing Candy Crush while watching Once Upon a Time, when suddenly my phone died.

Switched it back on, go to Candy Crush...

"Level 1"

*world stops*

Switched it off and back on. Same thing.

This is not happening, seriously. Tears dropping down my cheeks. I can't believe my Candy Crush was reset. All the levels I went through, all the money I spent on "Five Extra Moves", all the times I stare at my phone until I get my 1 life again, all gone! Gone!!!!

Honestly, this was more depressing than the time I failed Tax Law, twice!

I was at Level 286, guys. You know how hard it was to get there...? Haih.

Called Azrin to tell him about it...

"Who ask you to go play? Spend money on unnecessary things. Waste money. I told you to stop playing long time ago. Things are just gonna get spoilt at last and all your money, gone! Padan muka lah"

-_________-"

What a way to kick someone when they're down.

Review: Pee Mak

I'm pretty sure we've all heard/watched the famous Thai ghost movie- Nang nak. The one with the husband who came back from war and lived happily with his wife and baby, when actually they're ghosts, and so on.

They had a re-make, Mae Nak after that. Now, its Pee Mak. At first I was like, "Ngeh, its gonna be the same thing, innit?". I read the review and it said....

"Comedy"

Err......

What? How?

*Tickets Purchased*

It was good, suprisingly. Same storyline, but they made it funny. Not in a spoof way, but just the way they act out the whole movie. Scary, funny, sad.

The ending was so touching and sad, I coulda sworn even Azrin cried. Bet he's thankful the cinema is dark haha.

Y'all should watch it!

Btw, the ghost is so hot!

I Wonder...

You know they say that we "Sharifahs" are "Arabs", but when I look in the mirror...I get confused.

Two Sharifahs. We both look more like the aunty selling soya bean near my house than Pascale Machaalani, really.

Random people started speaking cantonese to me since I was little, and I bet you Little Pei will face the same problem. I shall give her a heads up! Haha. In fact, most of my "arab" cousins look chinese. I wonder why....

Sorry, just a random thought as I was flipping through pictures through my phone. We should all be thankful, no matter what we look like, yes?

Still Daddy's little girl! Do I look like him??

Hockey

Ashraf invited me to go watch him play hockey. At first I was like "Errrrr....heat, sweat, sports...", but oh well, he's like family now so I went to give my support.

When we arrived....

*crickets*

"Are you sure its today...?"

Walked around and found the correct stadium field (I was already sweating by then). I was so excited. It was actually a family match. A whole extended family play hockey as a family thing! So freaking cool, man! Apparently they train every week, and have like a real match (against themselves) about twice a year. Trust me, it was a real match, with referees and all. Right after they just chill and eat. Amazing!

The whole time I thought to myself, how come my family don't do these kind of things. Got my answer straight away- because the only sports my family does is eating. The closest we can get to a stadium is if it is next to a food court.

-_____-"

We shall make that next year's resolution, shall we familia?

*munch on pisang goreng*

Sixty Five

Barf all you want, but yesterday was our 65th month of being together, Azrin and I.

*wink*

"When are you guys getting married?"

"End of the year"

"She says end of the year everytime. End of which year, none of us know" -Fara

Anyway, Azrin and I went for a romantic dinner date, gazing into each other's eyes, holding hands and feeding each other strawberries.....

Ngeh, who am I kidding. We don't even eat strawberries.

But we did go to dinner. Look who decided to tag along.....

-_________-"

Haha.

Ok, I invited them cuz I thought we've spent 64 months celebrating just the two of us, so why not this time we bring along a few people. The more the merrier, no?

Happy 65th month, Baybiak!

City Boy

Road trip to Kedah for the day. I don't know if its the distance or that Azrin and I are getting older, but to go to Kedah and come back on the same day.....exhausting! I had some things to settle, so I grabbed my boyfriend and off we went 4 hours north and back.

Champion, right? Yes, and I am dozing off at work now -____-'

Anyway, it was Azrin's first time to Kedah and I was so shocked by how much he knows/ dont know about........things.

He did not know sawah padi produce rice.

He have not touched a cow (that's alive)

He could die if he sees a pacat

He would scream if there's a red ant crawling up his foot

He dont know how a rubber tree all trees look like

He was amazed that there are no malls in kampungs

-_______-"

So cute, really.

I brought him to a ladang getah, and we had to walk a bit through a forest to get there, his face was already pale as we parked the car.

He walked literally 4 steps from the car....

"Bee, I hear noises"

"B, what if got snakes?"

"Can't we just see from the car?"

"I. Feel. Something"

*runs*

-______________________-"

Fail.

Me: I've brought you to my kampung, when are you gonna bring me to yours.
Azrin: My kampung is 19 hours away

Yes, go back to LA with Kim K.

Azrin's Surprise

Azrin turned 26 (omg 26!!) last week and Ashraf and I was planning a sort of last minute surprise for him. He kept seeing me smiling away while texting Ashraf, he was pretty convinced I was having an affair.

Yes, because I would cheat right in front of you -____-"

The plan was for our friends to be at Mont Kiara, and I'll bring him to a "just-us-dinner" later.

We were walking to the restaurant, we saw a long table with balloons and decorations around, and I was smiling to myself because of the familiar faces sitting there...

Azrin : "Eh someone's doing a birthday party...same birthday as me!"

*Everyone hiding behind the menu*

SURPRISE!!!

Azrin: "Eh?! Oh....."

Yeay! Ashraf and I did it! Thanks Ashbear :)

Happy Birthday Sayang! Thanks everyone for coming. Thanks for the cake, decorations, everything.

*accepts Best-Girlfriend award*  Haha.

"Keep this picture till I'm 62"

Natural

The heat is kinda crazy these days, so I decided to get a haircut just so I won't sweat everytime I step out of the house. Also, because my hair is getting out of control.

TADAAA!

Oh, feels so light!! *slowly shakes head*

I realised that now that I've chopped of my blonde ends, now everything is au naturel. The last time my hair was un-dyed and natural was when I was in Std 6. Thirteen years ago! Woah.

I remember trying to convince all the prefects throughout high school that my red streaks was "Natural". Haha.

Ngeh, getting bored of it...I'm thinking of going blonde again. Soon.

Sending Off

I get so excited, with a little bit of jealousy when people are going to Umrah/ Haji, because when I went there, I was super young so I barely remembers it. Haih.

Insyaallah, one day, I'll visit God's home again.

My Paksu and family flew off to perform their Umrah yesterday, so Azrin and I sent them off at the airport, also to remind them to pray for me getting a Birkin and Brad Pitt.

Kidding.

Of course, I hope they pray for my health, family, my jodoh and that one day I get to go there again. Amin.

They look so happy!! Who wouldnt be?

Safe flight, safe trip Paksu, Maksu, Sofea and Adam!

*cough* Azrin promised he'll bring me there one day, Insyaallah
