Nathalie's

Hello all, I've been missing these past few days. Not that I think anyone notices/cares, but yes, I was in a bit of MIA mode to entertain the cousin, Shafiqah, who came for a few days *yay*.

Horror-est news of all : My blackberry is *twitch* spoilt *twitch*.

I can't seem to charge my phone, and when I went to the shop and he tried to CPR, and those electric jolt thing, and oxygen tank to save my little pinkberry, but he could'nt. Something about that place where you poke to charge was screwed (ok, was'nt listening, honestly, but something was spoilt). Than I turn around, and saw Bold 3 *holy light shining on the awesome Bold 3 with those creepy background sound*.

So.Effing.Preety. My new life mission from now on *breaks piggy bank and start counting coins*.

Ok, moving on..

I went to check out the out-of-the-world macarons (seriously, is it MACAROONS or MACARONS?) at Nathalie's Gourmet Studio.

Plus point 1 : Hot french waiter with french accent and french manicure and french fries and french braid.heh. Ok, just french waiter with french accent *drool*.
Btw, those macarons are so yummy and poofy and gooey (caramel one - crazy death, I tell you).

We also tried out some other desserts.
Too gourmet-ish for me. A bit too French too, I guess. God knows what creepy things they eat there for dessert, but I would stick to my cekodok, thank you. Some of the desserts were nice, but a bit too overwhelming. Maybe I don't know how to appreciate weird taste like the french.
I have yet to try their main courses. From what the people next to us looked like, it must have been some good food, though.

For my birthday, instead of a cake, I want stack and stack of macaroons.Whee! *cough Azaliya*

Cucumber Facial

I was helping Mom because she was cooking Laksa Johor, and of course, my main job was to cut cucumbers. Yuck.

There was a lot of cucumbers, and I have read somewhere that its good for your skin, eyes, lips, blood, cat, shoes and what not, I had a fantabulous idea of doing my own facial.

Me : Ma, what do I need to do a facial thingy?
Mom : Cucumber, onions, a bit of chilli, and a pinch of salt. Good for eyebags. Try it *smile*
Me :...............................

Nevermind, I'll just turn to another reliable friend, Google.

So i crushed the cucumbers, add a bit of honey, and a bit of your facial scrub, and start scrubing and sticking it on your face.

Leave it on for a good 15 minutes-ish..wash it off. Tone and mosturise and voila!

Before...

After...

No difference, huh?? That's what I thought. At least my face smells like cucumber. Refreshing.

Review : Repunzel - A Tangled Tale

"Repunzel, Repunzel, let your hair down"

Yay, I got to watch Repunzel yesterday, and yes, this time I did pay for the movie.heh. At first I thought of bringing Azrin's little sister along, but turns out the show was at 9.30, so I was afraid she would start crying and jumping and banging her head against the wall because she's sleepy.

OHMYGOD! I am in love with the movie. I LOVE IT!!! From the first till the last movie, it was amazing! Everything was cute! From Repunzel, to that dude, to the rabbit, to the horse, to the frog...OMG the frog!!! or chameleon..that really looked like a frog. So.Bloody.Cute.

*cough*I WANT ONE!! *looks at Azrin*

The movie is so hilarious, I swear. I want hair like Repunzel.Ok maybe not. But its so flowy, and luscious, and....useful! Who knew you could fight bad guys with hair, huh? This movie is super duper highly recomended, and I would watch it 10 more times.

Oh, from now on, I am carrying a bloody frying pan everywhere I go. Or those big ass wok that people use to cook gulai kawah at weddings.heh.

Rating : 9.5/10

Doctor's Appoinment

I had a minor surgery middle last year to remove my appendics, and since than I have been having pain here and there, mostly stomach area. One day I bumped into my doctor, and he said, it could probably be gallstone, so he asked me to go and have it checked.

*sobs*

I hate hospitals, and everything in it. I was in the hospital from 9 a.m and left at 3 p.m. Seriously, what is the point of paying hundreds of ringgits and get the same services as government hospital. I was this close to grabbing a needle and poke the bloody nurses.heh.

Thank god for friendly doctor (maybe that is what we are paying for). When I asked him about my situation, he replied by telling me all about his recent trip to Maldives (that is where Fazna is from). And how he went snorkelling. And how he made friends with 3 stingrays. And how he suddenly felt like that crocodile dude that died because the stingray poked him.

*smacks forehead*

First I had to do a blood test *cry*. You see, I am a big crybaby. The last time when I had the appendics surgery, normal human would take 3 days max to recover. But I took 8 days (seriously, the doctor came and push me off my bed to assure me that I could walk and nothing was going to bleed and that no one will die) . This time they took a blood test, for me it hurts like mad, until now. Is that normal? Or am I exaggerating??
Than I had to do a scan to see what's going on inside. I had to wait 3 hours until it was my turn. I have not eaten anything since the night before, because I would not want them to scan and see Nasi Lemak and Rendang Chicken instead of my gall bladder, so I was super hungry *cry*.

Than comes the part where you wait for the results. I realised that people these days are so boring. Everyone is minding their business, tapping on their Blackberry, Iphone, HTC, Nokia 3310 (because even the cleaner lady was probably saying 'hello' to her mother in Indon). No one bothered saying Hello, or What did you eat for lunch?, or How many times have you gone to the loo?.pfffft.

I bet if there was a 70 year old lady was there, she would probably share with me her kuih koci.

This is what happens when people are being nosy on facebook, rather than doing it live.

....so aaaaanyway, results came out eventually.

...met the doctor, he said nothing serious for now (the only concerns are the *** things), but he wanted to check my stomach. So I have to do a colonoscopy another time.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, hold up, doc!

WHAT scopy??

Isnt....that...when..they..put..it..up..your.......

Hell to tha no! *runs out*

Btw, all of those costs me $400.pfffft.

Part III : Journey Home

Ok, this may be waaaaay overdue, but here comes the final part of my vacation. Our weird journey home.

We got up quite early that morning, packed, and got ready to head back. Shafiqah decided to come along to KL, so we had brunch (fantastic Asam Pedas) and started our journey home.

It was still preety early, and it only takes an hour to KL, so I gave a brilliant idea..

Me : Let's take another road to KL..
Shafiqah : Yes! We should go by the 'sea road'.

So instead of taking the highway, we took the kampung road, bypassing little villages and states back to KL. Awesome idea, no? We thought it would be less boring, because you could see all sorts of things by the roadside, and since we have the whole day, why not right?
My mission of the day was to look for cempedak goreng (I just realised cempedak, in english, is cempedak) at those little stalls by the road side. Unfortunately, no go. We did find an awesome Jambu stall. Amazingly refreshing for a preety hot day.
From Melaka, started going into Negeri Sembilan, and on the way I saw this.

...and 20 minutes later, I saw this.

What's with the obsession? Ironically, I did not see any big nor size-zero chinese *confused*.

We were driving alongside the beach. So yay to preety view!!

About 1andahalfhour into the journey, must be the fact that we were by the sea or something, all of us started getting dizzy and sea sick.Or car sick.heh. We than looked for the closest highway, and shoot off to KL.

When I called my dad to tell about my genius plan..

Me : We took the old road and everyone got dizzy. And it took such a long time *cry*
Dad : You are the smart one. People spend millions and millions to build the highway, you want to take the other road.
Me :.................................................

*bows Samy Vellu*

Peter Pan the Musical

I got invites to the Gala Premiere of Peter Pan the Musical at Sunway Lagoon, on Friday, and boy I was super excited!! Oh, and we also got free access to the Night Park after the show.

Azrin : Why are'nt you wearing heels??
Me : I know Sunway Lagoon. We're gonna be walking for 20 miles. Screw heels.
Seriously, if you're going, best wear flats.or flip flops.

Oh, and guess who I found hiding behind a tree? Mellina!!

It was such a long way to the Amphitheatre, but thank god, we were walking alongside tigers, ponies, foxes, parrots and all sorts of aminals.heh. At one point, we had a pretty view, too. But by the time we reached the amphitheatre, I was sweating so much, I could drown Peter Pan.

Whimsical entrance to Peter Pan.

The amphitheatre was pretty huge. Although its an outdoor-indoor thing (with no aircond), it was pretty cold, probably from all the trees around it (see, I'm all about nature *blows nails*). Oh and also maybe because they put ginormous fans every 2 meters.heh.

I got inside at about 7.50p.m because it was suppose to start at 8p.m. Suppose to. These Europeans clearly have been Malaysianfied, because it started at 9.15. pffft. I got hungry, and had to eat ice cream.only.
Pictures of the show..

What I thought of the play :

1. I did'nt know what are the ticket prices, so after the show, I thought, it would be pretty cool, if the price of the ticket was, say, about $20-$50. Than I found out it was about $100-$180! For a 60-minute show! Go figure.

2. Probably because of the indoor-outdoor thing, but the sound system was not that good. Also, the British accent doesnt help either. How are the makciks going to understand? They would probably think it is some French play.

3. This must be the gay-est Peter Pan I have ever seen. he is more girl-ish than Wendy, for god's sake. I whispered to Azrin "He should be holding hands and kissing Captain Hook, instead".

4. It was, however, a good, happy, fun, show that doesnt leave you bored half way (probably because it is an hour), but I like it! Maybe because its free, but I kept singing their songs until the next day.

The moment the acts took their final bow, it started raining cats and dogs. There goes the night park thing. With the long way back in that super heavy rain, they should really have a mini train or bus to bring us all back to the entrance.

Oh well, I did'nt pay for it, so who am I to complain right?
