Ex-Colleague

Helena arranged a small gathering last night before she heads back to Russia. Super duper last minute due to everyone being busy here and there.

Me, Azrin, Ateng, Nora (Ateng's wife), Helena, JP.

Azrin, Ateng, Helena, JP and I used to work together in the same company, while Nora worked at the office across from ours (thats where they met and we all helped Ateng get her kih kih kih). See, I had to work part time during semester break (and sometimes during semester too!!) to get some extra money especially if my friends and I are planning to go for a short holiday or something.

Working with these loons was so much fun, so yesterday we were reminiscing and gossiping about our ex-bosses and other colleagues.

Of course the spotlight was on Ateng and Nora's son...

So. Adorable.

We should do this a yearly thing (since Helena comes back once a year only and she planned the whole thing anyways), and gather other ex-staffs!! Hehe.

Take care, Helena. Go be a Doctor quick and come back and give me free MCs *wink*.

Hehehe.

Arm BBQ

Sofia and I just got back from the hospital, visiting a friend, Mellina when Sofia got a text while we were having lunch

"Mel masuk hospital. Tangan terbakar"

Whuuuuuuut?

Me : Babe, what happened?!?!
Mel : I kan hebat, barbeque tangan sendiri

-_______-"

Apparently she was about to cook but her kitchen caught on fire, and the only way she could turn it off was put her arm through the fire to turn on the tap.

Scary.

"Api dunia dah panas gila babe..neraka nanti camna?"

B.U.R.N. Literally.

Get well soon, Mel!

Flowergirl Story

Just got back from cousin's wedding in JB, but before I story you about the wedding itself, here's a little something about the flowergirl.

One of the flowergirl was Little Pei of course since we don't have many little girls in my family. She was pre-booked months prior, got her little dress and everything...even she was super duper excited. Her first flowergirl duty!

The night before the wedding, she was all smiles and rainbows practicing :

On the wedding day, Little Pei all dressed up like a little princess..

She was a little tired from all the swimming so she took a nap while waiting for the bride and groom.

When it was time to get on duty..

SIL was trying hard to pujuk her. So kesian...

Flowergirl resigned at last.

Me : Does this mean no flowergirl on my wedding?
SIL : *evil look*

Hehehe oops.

Family Trip

The trip was way back then in March, it is now August and I still havn't wrote anything about it. Heh.

My family and I went for a short trip to Perth, for my birthday (well, since I'm the one booking the flights, I decided to set the dates just so we would be there for my birthday ngeeee).

Why Perth? Because no Perth, means Daddy will not be coming. He's been obsessed with that place since I was little. If it was up to me or Abang......we would be flying to Melby *hi Aja*.

Anywhooo....pictures!!

Perfect short trip. Time well spent with le familia...ignoring teeni spat here and there.

Where to next??

Italian Raya

How many days can you guys eat raya food? As in all day?

I can only stuff so many ketupats down my throat but I gave up on the evening of 2nd day of raya. Cannot lah, I mean I do love our traditional, festival, ahmayzing, delicious food but though I could give my tummy a little break.

Discussed with the family and I went to get something different for dinner.

Pizza Hut.

Hehe.

It was good.

Don't worry, I had ketupats the next day for breakfast.

-_____-'

1st Day

This year my raya was more....chillaxing. It was just eat, chill, eat, sleep, eat, eat, sleep. Everytime we have someone over I'll have a meal, so you can only imagine how I feel by the end of the day. I'm sure I'm not the only one..

Thank god my baju raya material was the stretchy kind. See, I thought about my food intake when I purchased it, haha. Good buy, Sharifah.

The Food :

The Not-So-Little Pei :

She wanted to put on make up so I rented her my make up and Stepmom styled her up. She's all grown up *tears*

We had a little picture moment while waiting for people to arrived...and before the make up all cair....

....and what's Raya without family selfie, no?

Selamat Hari Raya from all of us!!

Busy Ramadhan

Another month have passed without blogging. Wow.

A few months back, I had a long talk with Daddy about looking for another job, and after thinking it through, going back and forth, i decided to resign from my current job. Plus, Daddy even said  'Adik, you should just take some time of and just relax while looking for a new job (yeaaaah rigggghhhhtttttt! I'll tell you why in a second)'.

A couple days after puasa month started was my last day of work (woohoo!!!), and I was ready to play Candy Crush all day, I had my Keeping Up with the Kardashians all piled up waiting for me, my bed and pillow all fluffy....I was ready to enjoy my 'break'.

......boyyyyy was I wrong.......

Alright, if you hav'nt already know, Azrin and I have been selling Honey Kokoflakes Cookies prior to Raya every year for the past 4 years and this year we had to make the most cookies. Ever. Alhamdulillah. Thank you, customers!

Secondly, Stepmom decided to sell some food during this Ramadhan month somewhere in Hartamas, so I thought, since I'm not doing anything, I might as well lend a hand in between my Kardashian episodes, right?

Funny, Sharifah.

For a month, my daily schedule was roughly like this :

7.30pm - Buka puasa

10 pm - Bake Cookies

1 am - Pre-prepare food for the next day

3 am - Sahur

4 am -Sleep

10 am- Wake up

1 pm - Prepare food

3 pm - Set up stall (carry canopy, tables, chairs under hot sun while fasting and sit under heat in front of delicious food. All test from God)

6.45 pm - Clean up and close down stall

...and the cycle goes on....

No Candy Crush.

No Kardashians.

Heck, I hav'nt even had time to apply for jobs!!

...but it's ok, I am thankful that God gave me some extra rezeki on this beautiful month. It's been great. I am kinda sad that it is coming to an end. Last day of puasa. It's going to be Raya in a few hours time. See you next year, Ramadhan!!

Selamat Hari Raya guys! Maaf zahir and Batin. Have a Wonderful Raya!!
