Opposite Attracts
A wise person once told me that if you're the eldest in your family, it is good to marry someone youngest vice versa. If I'm not mistaken, in Hinduism they practice something like that too. In other words, if you're the eldest sibling, you can't marry a person who is also the eldest.
I kept wondering the reason behind this and after a couple of years, I'm starting to realise why.
You see, being an eldest, you will carry a certain characteristic. Also when you are the youngest. Totally opposite.
From what I see...
Eldest - mature, calm, relaxed
Youngest - panas baran, spoilt, stubborn
So u mix the two together = perfection!
Any of you realise this thing too?
One of my ex was also a youngest child... oh dear god! You can only imagine the relationship. Screaming match everyday. It must've been a good practise for my vocal chords for the whole year haha.
When I got together with Azrin, I was shocked that when I first had an argument with him, he did not scream back. He just waited for me to finish go cray and calm me down later on. Shocking! After a while I became this person who is more calm and any problems I have I will think it through before exploding like a volcano.
Also, I am not good with kids. Babies, toddlers, any kids, they will all cry when I hold them. Well, not my fault! I had no baby brother or sister to practise with while growing up. I was the baby *flips hair*
Thank god I have Azrin. Child magnet. Fuuuuhhhhh lega.
I was at Penang with my family and Little Pei was stuck to Bobo.
Now Azrin can't even sit next to me because Little Pei would scream "Bobo Fa punya".
Ok la, in the future I work and Azrin becomes a fulltime house-husband hahahaha *runs*

Review: Highland Tower
Received a text from stepmom when I was at work..
"Abah ajak tengok movie"
"Apa demam dia nak tengok movie?"
So weird. The last time I watched a movie with my father was.... Titanic!! You see, Daddy is not a movie kinda man. He's more of a have a cup of coffee and watch live band kinda guy. Just so he won't change his mind, I purchased the tickets online on the spot..haha!
Highland Tower. Dad, Aunty Lynn, Azrin, Azrin's brother Ashraf and I. So excited.
Went into the movies, Dad and Aunty Lynn took out their bags of kuaci....
Kuaci!! Haiyo... *covers face*
Trust me, her handbag was like 7 freaking 11! I was offered biscuits, cookies, I bet she even have laksa in there! Haha.
Well, thank god we had a supply of snacks because the movie was crap! Total crap! First half of the movie, I was this close to leaving the cinema and I coulda sworn I heard Daddy snoring by then.
I understand that you want to do a documentary kind of movie but seriously, do it properly lah! Some words they use, or the way they talked to each other, I bet only they can understand. The "actors" are all movie people or in that industry but you could at least explain a little when you talk to each other about the filming equipments and stuff.
One more thing, I cant stand people addressing each other with "aku" and "kau". I hate it. Even among boys, I do not approve it. Had to listen to all the aku and kau for almost 2 hours...argh!
Main actor, whoever he is, so freaking annoying. Him screaming out "chill" and "relax" the whole damn way. Come on, your friend kena rasuk, you go all "chill, chill". At least mengucap or azan near your friend, dude!
Major fail.
If y'all want to go watch, have fun!

Too Princess-y
I was having dinner with Azrin that one night when I got a call from Abang,
"Your niece fell at the playground. She would appreciate some ice cream"
Within seconds, Azrin and I found ourselves tapau-ing McFlurry Oreo and were heading to Abang's house.
....of course after a while he came :
....and Princess Sofia lived happily ever after.
OGS- Only Grandchild Syndrome
She's two plus, for god's sake! I'm sure falling is normal. Little Sofia scraped her knee a little and the whole family dropped everything and rushed to her.
I already feel sorry for her first boyfriend, haha.

Milestone
After months of hardwork...I've finally reached something I'm soooo proud of!
*wipes sweat*
Almost as hard as getting my degree to be honest. Haha. Seriously, I'm so addicted to this game, I played it everywhere- in the car, at dinner, in the toilet (haha bet you guys don't want to touch my phone no more!), anytime anywhere!
Now I realise something...
*twitch*
Say- whuuut...?
What the hell am I going to do at work now? (Ssshh..don't tell my boss! She would probably be wondering why suddenly everything can be finished on time haha)
I can here Azrin laughing at me because now I have to listen to him during dinner instead of playing candy crush and just nodding and say out "ok" and "yes" occasionally.
Dear Mr. Candy, please update your game. I'm begging you. Thanks.
Ps. You see I'm the only one in my friendlist in fb that have reached the Level 500 mark right?

Aidiladha
How's your Raya Haji, guys?
Since it was just one day holiday in the middle of the week, I was not in much of a raya mood. So what Azrin, my cousin and I did on Raya?
...went to Baskin and had ice cream! Also because it was a hot hot hot day!!
Ngeh, Baskin was packed with families in baju kurung and baju melayu anyway, so we were not the only weird ones.
I guess this is the modern Aidiladha.
Happy Hari Raya Haji!

Don't Get Sick
Last week, Azrin was complaining he had stomach pain. At first I ignored him because he tends to exaggerate when it comes to pain and stuff but after seeing tears coming down, I rushed him to the hospital.
See, I do have a heart lol!
The doctor suspected something a bit more serious, so they ran all sorts of scans and tests and diagnosed him with that kidney stone thingy.
"Cheh, that also you want to cry. I could still go shopping when I had it!" (probably because I was overdose-ing myself with painkillers haha)
Since it was a Sunday, he could only see the specialist the next day. We were waiting for his medicines and bill and he had to go to the toilet and asked me to pay first if they called his name.
"Mr Azrin"
Whuuuuut?!
He probably sengaja went to the toilet that time lah. Crazy man! My hand was literally shaking while signing my card. Shaking, I tell you. I could buy myself a nice purse instead of that. Plus the bloody stone is not even out of his kidney yet! Cheh.
A wise man once said to me, "Adik, nowadays, if you don't have money, don't get sick"
So. Freaking. True.

Review: Prisoners
Went for the movie Prisoners last week with Azrin. Since I invited him, he kept bugging me for a few days asking me what its about and all he got from me was..
"Eh, I've never even heard about the movie before, maybe its a Korean movie, and do I look like Google to u? *shoves Ipad to him*"
Time of the month, excuse me.
So anyway, I was so tired from work, and the premiere was at 9.15pm (they always start late), and the whole time I was just imagining the pile of work waiting for me the next day and all I wanted to do was sleep. Haih.
Ignoring the fact that I did doze of a couple of times during the movie, it is actually pretty good. I usually don't like mystery-solving kinda movie (because I always think that movie should be fun and relaxing, not tiring your brains out), but this one is good. It may sound typical- kids went missing, a psycho killer, figuring out reasons the kids went missing, capturing the wrong guy and all, somehow this movie has a little...twist!
Well, you guys gotta watch and find out.
Oh btw, please eat before you watch the movie. It's two and a half hour long and half way through the movie, I wanted to jump in the screen and help the father solve the whole shannanigan just so I can have my roti canai earlier.
Hehe.

Silly Mistake
Azrin promised me a shopping trip to Singapore as sort of a...graduation present I guess. This time we were going to drive there because
I was already google-ing handbags a week before the trip and listing down food addresses, until a few days before the trip we realised.......
We need at least 6 months, and our passports are expiring next month.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Oh. I. Is. Sad. *kiss gorgeous Gucci bag I've been eye-ing for a month goodbye*
I'm sure Azrin's wallet, bank account, card all are screaming of joy!
You know, God still loves me because I found out, JPO are opening more amazeballs stores...soon!
*dances*
Girls, November, what say you?

Arabian Night
Ya habibi!
It was so hard for me to think of a theme for Dad's birthday party, when suddenly..*ting*
"Arabian Night"
...but we had it at a Chinese restaurant... -_____-"
Shafiqah, Azrin and I spent nights cutting camels and palm trees to decorate the place. You're welcome, daddy. I gave up half way and chucked everything to Azrin. Seriously, I don't have the patience for these things
*crossing Party Planner off career choices*
The three of us reached the restaurant earlier to decorate the place...
Sorry lah, this is all you get when a lawyer and an accountant decorate. Cut and stick.
....and the birthday boy's here!
We forced him to be a little bit more..arabian! Haha.
Happy Birthday Abah!! Love love love.
Sibuk only lah that little one.
"Abah, I'm charging the bill to your account yea, thanks" -Me

Big Six O
Good morning!
Today is Daddy's birthday! Well, if you ask him he'll say he's 45 -_____-'
I'm here to tell you he's 60! Ok lah, if people ask, I'll discount him a year and say he's 59. Between you and I. Haha.
Anyway, I would like to wish my Daddy a very very Happy Birthday!
Dad: Adik, birthday dinner tonight
Me: Errr...oh ya! It's your birthday. I forgot and I have plans. Sorry. Can we do it during the weekend?
Hahaha...little did he know, I have a little surprise planned for him.
My two little helpers helping me with the surprise, I'll story you later ya. If you squint, you can see..... camels. There's your hint! Hehehe.
Happy Birthday Abah!! See you tonight!
I hope he doesnt open my blog today. Oops.

Bang Bang
Crazy traffic today!
Got home from work, was chit chat-ing with Daddy when Sarah called...crying
"Cik P.....hit......need.....help.....*cries louder*"
What?
Before I knew it, she was outside my house....
"Stupid car hit me and ran off"
Oh dear.
Teman-ed her to the police station in case she decided to cry and roll around the station floor. My friends know I'm not so good with solving problems. I'm more of a "crack-joke-and-laugh-problem-solved" kinda person. So I was joking around with her until her mood was better. Ended up with me telling the police lady about what happened and Sarah was like this:
Putting on make up! -_____-'
I did'nt even see any Aaron Aziz-looking policeman. Haih.
Me: Why the hell are you putting on make up NOW?
Sarah: Because I dont look...hot
Me: Honey, that one cannot help already lah. No amount of eyeliner can help
Police lady: *burst out laughing* Sorry cik...
Sarah: You're so mean
Me: Well, that's what friends are for *flips hair*. Now send me home, I'm hungry
Haha. Ok lah, kesian her lah.
Anyway, Happy Merdeka guys!! Love love love my country *muah*

Review: We're The Millers
I saw the preview of this movie around last month and I nudged Azrin and said we HAVE to watch this movie. Plus, Jen Aniston's in it...Oh Rachel Greene....
I got a pair of tickets to the premiere yesterday (I've been watching a lot of movies lately huh), and I was so excited! I grabbed Shafiqah to go with me (bye bye Azrin haha).
First of all...the movie was amazeballs!!! Seriously, I laughed so hard, I was hungry after the movie (I had chicken rice right before the movie -___-'). I'm just gonna spoil it for you guys a teeeeensy bit. The movie is about a stripper, a homeless girl, a geek and a drug dealer pretending to be a family to smuggler weed into the US. Btw, I also learnt that drug dealing and drug smuggling is different *flips hair*
Homaigad, when Jen Aniston was..stripping, my mouth was literally open, staring at the screen without blinking. How to get a body like that? Diet starts..tomorrow. Ngeh, who am I kidding.
Somehow every few minutes I had Shafiqah elbowing me "Omg Dila I'm so nervous!!", I don't know why...you have to ask her. Or watch the movie and tell me if you were feeling nervous. Haih.
This movie is highly highly recommended. Instead of paying rm10 to watch some stupid not highlarious zombies, move that cursor to "We're the Millers" and purchase it. After Thursday, that is. Hehe
Enjoy!

Day 3: PD
Since raya in KL is so....dull and boring, Azrin and I decided to go to PD to beraya at Sofia's. Closest we could get to a 'kampung'.
...and look who decided to tag along..
The whole freaking way. Its like bringing a puppy along. Haha.
Reached Sofia's house and of course our dear housewife have to serve us. Ngawh. Lucky Hazren.
Went to Mellina's house later, and its picture time!
Look!! Sarah and Mel so tall right? Must be the ketupat...
Not! Freaking stood on a stool *shakes head*
Azrin and I had to rush back to KL in the evening to help out with his brother's open house. It was a tiring day, but super fun hanging out with my girls...and the puppy.

Review: KL Zombie
I got a pair of invites to the Premiere Screening of this movie. Means I get to watch it before you people haha!
Well, I'm gonna save you one and a half hour here.
Honestly, I don't like the movie. Maybe because it was 40 minutes delayed. Maybe because throughout the movie there was this "teeeeeet teeeeeeet" sound when they're trying to say something...bad? (not even curses)
The storyline was pretty crap. I mean, suddenly one person turned into a zombie, and after a few hours the whole KL turned into a Zombie-town? Say-whaaaat?
Well, I left the movie about 15 mins before it ended so I don't know the ending. Maybe it was just all a dream haha. Haiyoh, serious lah, I don't know what the motive of the movie is. Some parts were funny, but that's about it. For a movie Zizan's acting in, it is not up to the humor level its suppose to be.
Quite dissapointing.
90 minutes I'll never get back. Haih.

Leading the Blind
Azrin was telling me his journey today and I felt something was...not right
He was heading to KL this afternoon and genius him took the LRT/Monorail/Star (I really don't know which one is which). Of course my Einstein boyfriend took public transportation without doing his research first and ended up texting me every few minutes to ask me to Google.
Types "Public Transport Jalan Raja Laut"
Fail. Nothing made sense to me.
After a while, he stopped texting me so I thought he figured he out himself. Either that or someone kidnapped him haha.
Later during dinner, he told me his experience....
"I was helping this blind lady getting on and off the train...she was heading to work...I was so touched that a blind person was so hardworking while sometimes perfectly healthy people would rather waste their time lepaking....I asked her where she was going, turns out we were heading towards the same direction....and she told me to just follow her since I dont know the way.."
"So the blind led you???"
Oh.

Review: The Conjuring
I had nowhere else to go on the second day of raya, and Daddy's leaving for Johor in the evening so I was bored at home, kinda sick of looking at ketupats.
Azrin's brother told me that The Conjuring is a good movie, because he knows how much I love horror movies. Forced both of them to watch the movie with me. Hehe.
Not a good idea, since I'll be alone at home for the weekend -___-'
Dad: Adik ni dah macam orang dulu-dulu, raya pergi tengok movie
Haha.
I thought the cinema would be empty, but I was surprised to see so many people in baju kurungs holding a bag of popcorn, waiting for their movie. In fact, The Conjuring was quite full.
So this is raya in KL, huh?
The movie was just so-so. Not scary at all, although Azrin was screaming away in the cinema. Storyline, not bad. This whole kena rasuk thing, nothing can beat Malaysian/ Indonesian movies. Just the process of us having our ustaz shoo-ing away ghosts/devil is waaaaaaay more scary than Hollywood movies definitely.
The setting of the movie is very nice, though. Really gives you that creepy feeling.
..also, the doll!! Haiyoh. Cute, but eeeeeeeeeek!
If you have a couple of bucks to spare, go watch it.

Day 1
Woah its already the forth day of Raya, and I'm so sick of having raya food that Azrin and I had McD for breakfast this morning. Haha
Anyway, this is probably the 3rd or 4th Raya I celebrate here in KL and I still find it so boring compared to celebrating it in the kampung.
My Raya Day 1:
Wake up- Shower- Eat- Chill with family- Eat- Take pictures- Eat- Eat- Sleep
Because my relatives (mom and dad's side) all celebrate raya outside KL, so I'm here with Dad, stepmom, brother, SIL, niece, Azrin.
Haih.
Dad+ Stepmom left for Johor on 2nd Raya.
Brother+SIL had a little weekend getaway
Azrin went to his relative's houses
= Me. Alone in my baju kurung, playing Candy Crush with a jar of Kuih Tart.
Oh, but I did go to Sarah's grandparents' house hehe
Selamat Hari Raya. Tomorrow = work *cry*

Till we meet again..
Good morning, guys!
I was a bit emotional this morning on the way to work, with the Raya songs playing continuously on radio and the fact that I missed my sahur and it was only 8.45 am but my stomach was already playing along the raya songs. It was sad. One month have passed by so quickly. It was like, blink blink and poof- one month gone!
Our last day of Ramadhan. No more terawih, no more Pasar Ramadhan, no more buffet buka puasa.
Alhamdulillah, we made it through peacefully.
Insyaallah, we'll meet again in a year.
Hope all of you had a blessed and wonderful Ramadhan.
Anyway, I would like to wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin. My apologies for any wrong doings. Have a great Raya!!
Drive safely when you guys balik kampung please!!

Graduation Buka Puasa
Oh how I miss blogging! Been so busy with work, preparation for raya, baking and everything (haih)
I have'nt even had time to see my friends!
Sofia and I have graduated (at last), and even though I did not attend my graduation ceremony (because my family was too busy for me, sob. Kidding!), our friends meet up for a buka puasa at Ayam Penyet, Sunway. I swear, even for a small get together/dinner, we had to re-schedule a few times. Everyone's so busy! Growing up sucks :(
So sweet of Fara to buy us presents. Ngawhhh *glares at Sarah*
Hahaha.
We all went back to Sofia's for desserts after. Durian Crepe- to die for omg!
Even though I "graduated" 2 years after I started working (seriously VU, pay so much also so kelam kabut), I must say...
"We did it, PO!!!" *high five Sofia*
All those sleepless nights, pretending to have food poisoning for an MC, accidentally wore a short skirt to Islamic Studies and wondered why I failed it (-__-") and skipping a million classes! I did it! I got my degree in Accounting/Finance. Without a calculator *flips hair*
So proud of myself. Now, should I continue my Masters or CPA? Decisions, decisions
