Its THAT week

It was the most important week of life. It was New York Fashion Week. Oh, and yeah, it was my assignment week to, but whatever *pushes assignment under bed*
One of the designer that I was dying to see was Betsey Johnson. Yeap, that lady with the weird hair, but her collection is always so colouful, crazy, fun. I just love to admire these clothes going up and down the runway, knowing that I would probably never walk out my house with it. This time, she has done it again...

Fantafreakingbulous.
And than there is Christian Siriano. He has been my favourite since Project Runway. I secretly want a gay best friend like him. He's just super funny, and an awesome designer (i think he is the only PR designer that really made it).

Gorgeous!Gorgeous!

Now that I am super happy that I have seen preety clothes, I may actually continue my assignment *search under bed*.

Since Victoria University is not responding to my letter telling them that its retarded to have all assignments due during the Fashion WeekS, so I shall finish it up and reward myself with all this collection lined up in my 'favourites'.
Also, it is London Fashion Week, fashionistas!! *cant wait*

Sarah & Azrin's Open House

Now the open houses are starting to come (god bless my stomach).

First, was at Sarah's at Armanee Terrace. For this post, I am just going to make the pictures do the talking (because I'm too full to function).

Hannah, Sofia, Hazren

Sofia, Fazna, Idzmil, Me

Liyana, Hannah, Sofia

Me, Azrin

All of us

Azrin, Idzmil

Me, Sarah

Look what almost chased the crap out of me.Almost.

Than there was Azrin's house, in PJ.

Why I love Azrin's house?

Meatloaf, potato salad, pasta salad. Not raya food! *died* As for the ketupat, I have sudden urge of that awesome kuah kacang. This is why I was the last one to leave the house *shameless*

This is what we normally talk about..

Sofia : The mint is too cold! My mouth, my cheeks, everything is freezing!

Me : Just swallow it than.

Fazna : But then your stomach might explode.

Me : ..........................

Are You Moist Enough?

We always take great care of our face.Cleanse, tone, mosturise, mask, scrub, I could go on forever. We, however, tend to forget to take care of the rest of the body. I bet our body would love to smack us in the head and go "Heloo, we have skin to you know".

Espiacially in this beautiful weather of Malaysia, where you'll probably fry your skin crispy, than you step into an air-conditioned room, than back to walking in the burning hot sun on the way to you car, and in your car you blast the air-cond but the sunlight is still shining brightly to your arm. Imagine what that does to your skin.

As for me, my skin is as dry as the Sahara Desert. Shoulders, arms, legs, when it is on super dry mode, you could even see tiny cracks sceaming the need of mosturizer (disgusting, I know). What do I do? Nothing *smacks myself in the head*

Sometimes, when you see girls like Victoria's Secret models struting their stuff with perfect porcelain, smooth, scar-less, perfect skin from head to toe, and we here "normal, skin-like-the moon" people just watch with mouth open and drool falling out, we will either think that..

"I do not think they're human" or..
"Eh, I'm sure they slap on a gallon of make up to make it look that smooth"

Just to make ourselves feel better, no?pffffft.

Thank god now Vaseline has come up with a line of mosturiser catered to different individual needs (Total Moisture, Healthy White, Intensive Rescue, and Aloe Cool and Fresh)

I think a good mosturizer is crucial for everyone. After all, god gave us one body. If our skin in spoilt, it's not like we could go to Gucci and purchase a new one, right? So better safe than sorry. Purchase a Vaseline mosturizer, toss it in your handbag, and mosturise your skin now and then.

Now all I have to do is get one (or two) and start splatting it all over.

Victoria's Secret, here I come!!heh.

Dear Drivers

First of all, Happy Malaysia Day! I have a super non-patriotic question. What is the difference between Malaysia Day and Independance Day?? Oh, well, who am I to pass a holiday, right? So yay Malaysia Day!

Yesterday my parents and I went for a day trip to Johor Bharu to visit a sick uncle. We, however made a detour to Batu Pahat for a while to visit a dengue-d cousin. So it was like killing the Olsen twins with one stone.heh.

As usual, yours truly was forced to voluteered to be the driver. If you must know, ever since I knew how to drive, I hated it. I preferred being chauferred around by awesome friends *waves at all my awesome friends with driver's license and cars*

Look what Mommy packed for all of us.

But this time, I was pretty amazed at how empty the highway was. KL-JB took me only about 2hrs-ish. It was either people was shopping it up in KL, or still eating lemang back in their hometown

I have a note to all drivers on the highway, though.

Dear Drivers,
If you see a car coming behind you at about 180km/h flashing the 6-inch stilettos out of themselves, and in your rear view mirror you could also see the reflection that somewhat looks like fingers pointing to you, and when you look at your meter and it shows 70km/h, and the lane on your left is empty-er than Miley Cyrus's head (seriously, that kid is dumb), for the love of god, could you please move your buttocks off the right lane. And when that person did overtake you, do not give her that ridiculous look, just because she's a girl. Thank you.

On a sort of different note..

Mom : Don't swing it. I'll get dizzy
Dad : Than why are you on a swing?!?!?

HAHAHAHA SO CUTE.

Resident Evil : Afterlife 3D

Last week, I went to a special screening of the latest Resident Evil movie, which is the first for me, unfortunately. I was not a big fan of the game, so I did not really follow the movie.

First of all, it was 3D and I sat in the second row from the screen so major headache and shoulderache when I left the cinema.bad.

It was kind of a cool movie, besides the fact that I did not understand what was going on from the start to the end. Whatever, that Milla chick was hot.Seriously. I want to have those guns and gadgets too *slow motion walk and wind blowing*.

One thing that annoyed the ketupat out of it was throughout the movie, everything was in slow motion. Shooting-slow motion. Bathing- slow motion. Eating- slow motion. Running- also slow motion (which I do not see the point, because you might as well walk, right?). I think, if the movie was in normal human pace, it would have lasted half an hour.Annoying!

And than, of course, the person that makes everything sparkly and melting and tingling - Wentworth Miller, definitely "worth" it *lame-ness, smacks forehead*

I gave it a 6/10.

Raya in Johore

Hello, KL! Awesome to be back, wearing a pair of shorts and a tshirt and chill *love*. Ive missed you, E!News. How was raya, everyone? How's the green packets going?heh.

Like I did for the past 21 years of my life, this year was no difference. A day before raya, all of us head to Muar. This year there is a new addition, sister-in-law, Elisa!whee!...and next year, little niece/nephew, insyaallah..

So reached Muar, and buka puasa with aunties, uncles, cousins, neighbours (so meriah!). Thank the fireworks started. Oh dear god, at one point I thought it was New Years Eve at KLCC. And I thought these things are illegal.pffft.

Morning of Raya, woke up late (as usual, screaming from Mom and Dad) *running into car with no shoes, while drying hair*. Then the food, apologizing and green packets comes! Sometimes, I'm glad that I'm still studying so I could still get raya money. By noon-ish, we head to Batu Pahat to my great grandmother's house.

My great grandmother

Kampung roads jammed like crazy.Only on raya..

2nd raya day sees us going around to neighbour's house, than time to pack up our stuff and head back to KL *kisses and hugs One Utama*

One thing about me is that I'm not a big fan of raya food.I would probably eat it once and I would start hunting for 'normal food'. See what I've been eating in my hotel room.
McD's Tripple Cheeseburger *yummmy*

But yes, bring on the open houses!Selamat hari raya!

Happy Eid!

Last day of puasa! *mental image of lunch everyday from now on*

It is kind of sad, though. I mean, we only fast one month (that's because I only count the wajib ones) in a year and now it's coming to an end.Sad.

After one month of fasting (did not lose any weight, btw, but Dad's bragging about his 3kgs loss.pffft.) we can now shock our stomach with breakfast-snack-late breakfast-brunch-lunch-snack-tea-early dinner-snack-dinner-supper-late supper-before sleep snack! Wooohoo!

Food aside, I would like to wish everyone, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir and Batin. Lets reset the sin-meter, shall we. Start fresh. Let's reward ourselves (well, some of us) for fasting for a good whole month with fantabulous raya food! Ketupat, rendang, and the list goes on..

I will be going back to Muar, Johor in about an hour *excited!!* and I'm praying to god the roads will not be as crazy as previous years (yeah right!). So where ever you are, celebrate Eid with love, alright!

To Ramadhan, I'll see you next year, Insyaallah..

Happy Eid, everyone!!!

In with the new

My Eid theme this year, like any other years of my life, will be...

PURPLE!! *duh*

My family never want to have that whole colour-coordinated-family-raya-thing. So boring. That's why I go purple crazy by myself- clothes, shoes, bedsheet, one year I even had purple hair.

This year, I'm taking it to another level!

I purple-ised my Blackberry. Or we shall call it Purpleberry. Ok, maybe sort off Fuschiaberry.

My bb has so many scratches, I sometimes wonder where do I take my phone too. Its not like I'm the kind of person who goes jungle trekking, or rock climbing to have it scratched back and front.

So I decided to, err, "pimp" it out a little..

Btw, picking the colour took me a few days (first dark pink, than pink, than light purple, dark purple)

So...

Before..

After!

Love!Love!Love!

Now I will stop bugging everyone to buy me a freaking Bold2. At least for next 3 weeks.

Spring Clean

I cleaned out my closet to make way for new clothes to come in. I do it every year. It is amazing how full your wardrobe can be, and in a year, you can still find a whole load of unwanted clothes. I think there is a little fashion ghost that have been stuffing clothes in my wardrobe.Eeeek.
Now my clothes are organised neatly (I'm sure that will last a week).

Tops & Dresses

Tops

Jeans & Pants

Tudungs & Clutches

Tshirts & Shorts

This are the ones going in the trash. However, they are all still wear-able, so if only I could give away to charity...

Remember when beads were super in back then?Crazy. It was like Mardi Gras

Now everything is clean and neat, and waiting for new clothes to come and join 'em. Let's hit the mall y'all!

BUT! I have one more problem. I have no more space to put all this Baju Kurung/Kebaya!

This are all the ones that could still fit me perfectly, and does not include this year's Raya clothes at the drycleaners.

I should not have any more Raya clothes for the next 10 years. Then again, its Raya! Its the only time you could never have too many clothes, right? You can't wear the same Baju Kurung to 2 open houses. What if you see the same person at both open houses? (I would hide behind the ketupats).

Dad : Did you make more Baju Kurung this year??
Me : Of course, but only 3 pieces..
Dad : What happened to previous years' baju?
Me : They're around..but I dont have that many..

I need a place to hide these clothes from Daddy!

*run*

Abah's 57th

03.09.2010- Syed Mohsen turns 57!

Had a family buka puasa yesterday. Since my taste bud was not really working properly, buffet was quite a waste. The whole time Dad was trying to convince the world that he was, err, ridiculously younger..

Someone : How old are you today?
Dad : 47..but I could so pass as 37 *flips hair*
Me :...............

Dad : Adik, take a picture of me..
Me : *snaps, hands him camera*
Dad : Oh wow, that's pretty.
Me : ...................

I call it post mid-life crisis.

Most awesome food for the night was Roti canai with roasted lamb and mushroom sauce.

*droolfest*

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful man in my life. The one that that taught me how to pray, the one that brings home toys for me when I was little, the one who has more hair and facial products than me (seriously!), the one who taught me how to drive, the one that was firm but never lay a finger on me. Thank you for teaching me the rights and wrongs in life, and never being stingy of the knowledge and experience you have. It would be awesome for me to find a man half as great as you.

Happy Birthday, Abah!

Oh.My.God.Lets.All.Bite.That.Little.Girl.

Goodbye, roots

Hair is like a crazy thing for girls, right? When it's curly, we want it straight. When it's straight, we want curly. Some even wants half and half. And then there's colours. Brunette, blonde, black, blue, red. Highlights, lowlights.OMG.

My roots have been growing so much, its disgusting. My head is starting to look like a colour chart, I swear. Black, patches of brown, streaks of blondes.Urgh, disgusting!

So with raya coming up and stuff, time to pay some attention to the hair.

Hairdresses lady : Your hair is too big. Cut?
Me : Nooooooooooo.
H.L : Ok, thinning?
Me : Fine, but keep the length.

Someday, Tyra Banks will wear my weave, no?

I also re-dyed my hair. Chose a dark red-ish colour, because after a few washes, it'll turn into light brown anyway.

Before..

During...

5 tubes of dye later..

Tadaa...!
