Lucky Twenty Eight
28th March. I turned 28.
Late twenties, ey?
Took a day off and spent the day at home, went to see him at work for lunch. No flowers, nothing. Not even a white paperbag with six black letters printed on it *shakes head*. For a husband who's office is behind a shopping mall, and nothing in his hand?
Cry.
No, nothing under the table too I assure you.
Ok, kidding. He actually gave me something he probably have been regretting for a week now. Sort of gave me a get-anything-you-want for a weekend. Yes, he gave that to a girl who can be in a shopping mall and shop online at the same time. Haha.
..but on my birthday, I forced him to take half day off for me and we were eating everywhere non stop. I felt sick at the end of it. Haih.
I gave up with taking pictures after eating sushi like crazy with him. That is because I will never have a family dinner eating sushi. They asked me what I wanted for birthday and I said sushi, but they said more than half of them will not turn up for my birthday dinner if...japanese food.
Hmm.
Also, Happy Birthday to other awesome people who have the same birthday as me- Greg, Aunty Niki, Uncle Mi and Lady Gaga!
Thanks to everyone who wished!

Doughnut with..
Sunday Morning.
Woke Azrin up with a "I need something sweet" (I blame that time of the month). We've been planning to try this doughnut place I read about but its been a crazy weekend since our moving date is getting closer. So stressful, guys! Everything and everyone seem to not know how to listen to orders *breathe in, breathe out*.
So we were heading to Subang to have doughnut + ice cream for breakfast (yumms!) since it is in Empire, as we were turning in and I opened to check which floor is the place located..
"Uh oh. It is in empire damansara la B. Opens at 12. Too early now"
Haih.
We went there for dinner.
Cosy place. Delicious doughnuts! So yummy. Definitely not enough for us, though!
*wipes drool*
Fiskee Dough - yumms!

Cooookies
When Azrin and I were figuring out where to go for dinner, it will be such a fun topic every night (one of the plus point for having a wife who does not know how to cook!) and we really don't need to have chicken rice or burgers, but can go straight to dessert.
So the whats-for-dinner conversation can go something like
"You want waffles?"
"Maybe brownies"
I am quite surprised when my sugar level was normal the whole time before and during my time at the hospital two weeks ago. Thankful, but surprised. I think even the doctors were surprised!
Anyway, Nurul told me to try this cookie place in Kota Damansara so off I went with Azrin for dinner (hehe!) last night. Nurul said it was too sweet, I thought it was a bit on the sweet side but Azrin thought it was "not that sweet".
Whaaaaat?! So it is true when people say you marry someone like your father. Yes, my father who thinks krispy kreme is "tak manis sangat". I better get them insulin ready.
Love the place. One serving of the cookie ice cream sandwich is enough for me. Love the choice they have, though.
Will definitely go again.

Big Girl
One of the reason I made all three doctors of mine sign the yes-you-may-get-out-of-her-form was because it was Little Niece's birthday. Hehe yes, SIL would reschedule the dinner and all but...never!
Only child/niece/grandchild syndrome.
So off I went with a bit of dizzyness, holding on to Azrin looking for something cute for her, before heading to the birthday dinner.
Such a big girl now. I bought her this cute t-shirt with a cat and her name. I mean, I know she wants make up and stilettos but I'm in denial. No! She is still a little girl who plays with toys.
You know, she came back from kindy, reporting this guy is cute, that guy is cute AND she has a boyfriend! (well, that's what she said) *gulp*.
*hides all my make up*
I don't know who she gets this gedik-ness from seriously, not her mommy, obviously not her Aunty Adik the super nerdy, stay-at-home kind of girl.
Haih *shakes head*. Hehe
So it was a fun dinner, especially after a whole week at the hospital. The rest continued the night with karaoke (Little Pei insisted!) while I went home because my head was spinning like Kylie Minogue already.
What we all know is that we are all taking leave that one day next year to send her for her first day of school *wipes tear*. Nothing cool can come out of that, Fa. Your aunties, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, mom, dad all holding hands outside your class all day, possibly with packets of nasi lemak. Sorrayh!
Heh.

Positivity
As some of you may already know (yes, all four of you who reads my blog) I was admitted in the hospital for the whole week last week for a minor operation. Just a sinus related surgery, but they had to run a few tests before the surgery, which explains the 5 day admission.
I had healthy brown rice everyday, and I gained 2 kgs when I got discharged. Maybe because they made nasi lemak and nasi dagang out of the brown rice, or maybe Azrin brought over kfc over every night from work. I guess we will never know the cause of that 2 kilos, ey?
Everyone in the hospital, from the doctors, nurses, food lady, even cleaners were all super duper nice. They treated me like their sister, coming over to have a chat with me while I was all alone in my room during the day.
One thing that they all said about me is that I am positive.
Honestly, I did not know that about myself, until they talked about it over and over again. From the moment I drove myself to the hospital for admission to the point where I convinced them I could breathe without help, a few hours after getting out of the OT.
The more "chirpy" I become, the more helpful people around me are. I believe that as long as I can handle something by myself, I'm all good, which is why I told Azrin not to take leave the whole whole time I was admitted but just come whenever he can because I know he is super busy at work (psst btw, he was kinda the talk of the icu among the nurses! I was snoring away and one nurse came and woke me up "Puan, I am your nurse for the night shift ya, the petang shift nurse cakap your husband very handsome ya")
Haha.
I texted Azrin "B, tomorrow make sure you wear cantik cantik and come. And smile charmingly to the nurses. Mana tau, maybe I dapat extra food"
So alhamdulillah everything went well with the surgery. Thanks to my positivity, I guess I convinced the doctors to take that annoying oxygen thingy off, also I got discharged from the hospital a few days early.
See, keep the negativity away from you and good things will come. Now back to work!
